You will never know the limits of your car if you have not gone past them. Sounds like a safe, fun way to get to find the edge and learn how to control a sliding car. When I raced, the team included 4 crashes per season into the budget for that very reason.
Coming from a C5, it's amazing how powerful the C6 is. For me it is super fast compared the our C5 we had. I never really felt nervous in the C5 like I do in the C6. I haven't even used all the horsepower, I wont until I'm 100% comfortable in it.
Perhaps you could explain what the point of doing "donuts" is? Seems like a great way to ruin tires and put unnecessary stress on the car's frame and suspension. It also appears to provide the added opportunity of sliding your car into something and doing great damage. Why is essentially getting out of control such a great thing? IIRC, it is a form of "sport" developed around the idiots who take their pitiful little egos and their pitiful little Hondas to the street to burn rubber the only way they are able to.
In the 50's we called people like the OP, and those who think driving like this on the street is cool, squirrels. The original owner I bought my C6 from was grownup so it was never abused like many I've seen on the forum. Just for the record I am 75+.

You old coot!
Being a youngster at 65, I grew up beating the crap out of field cars before I could see over the steering wheel. We pounded on these things mercilessly in the dirt, but they were junk cars that usually just barely ran. All in all, it was a good learning experience.
But I never abused any halfway decent street car I had like that (did my share of street racing though). And to flog a beautiful machine like a C6 is, well, criminal.
And, I HATE fixing things, unlike when I was young, so that's another reason to take it easy.

But that's just my opinion. To each his own.
I've often been accused of being born old. I was always a cruiser, never a racer.
Do yourself a favor and take a driving course, it will teach you more than you ever realized about you and your limitations and what to expect out of your car

Whoa there, calm down little feller! Don't get those panties bunched up.
Where are ya located.... We have an autox coming up next month in the Monterey, Ca area......
When I first got my new to me C6 I did a few autox's to get the feel of the car and its power...was a great idea....... cheap way to get to know your car...
I’m in Corona, California. Monterey is about 6 hours..? From me I think. What is a Autox? Never heard of it.

You know I really take offense to this. Pretty rude of both of you knuckleheads to insult me. I’m a very responsible driver. I don’t “race” around acting like a ******* thinking I’m cool. I already know I’m cool so I have nothing to prove to anyone.
