34 consumer complaints
121 Technical Service Bulletins issued by GM
Not sure why you've bothered to ask the question. You seem to have made up your mind.
Regarding TSBs...The number you cite isn't specific to the 2013. Nearly all TSBs cover multiple years and multiple models. For instance..
TSB #SB-0505-23-007-B / NHTSA ID #10055791
Summary: CADILLAC/CHEVROLET: INFORMATION PROVIDED REGARDING THE POSSIBILITY OF BRAKE ROTOR SURFACE CRACKING THAT IS VISIBLE DUE TO THERMAL FATIGUE TESTING. MODEL 2005-09 SLUR, 2005-13 CORVETTE.
There are some that cover multiple generations as well, ie 1997 to 2013 Corvettes
So a car has 34 complaints over 4 years and now it's a bad car. Ok
Go to the page preceding the "Vehicle Reliability" section that contains all the ratings (page 84 in my magazine). Look under "Used Models to Avoid", "Corvette '05, '13".
We must be looking at a different issue. I was referencing the annual auto issue from April, 2016. If you are referencing an older issue, they might have revised their recommendations. I also checked the CR 2017 Annual buying Guide booklet and it also only lists 2015 as the model to avoid.

Chevrolet must not PAY to advertise in their reports. These publication reports are like government reports and findings. Fake or questionable info?
You have the best owner survey right at your fingertips here. Plenty of people will report issues with their Corvettes regardless of the year.
Remember when one of the magazines voted the Renault Alliance the "Car of the Year"? 1984 I think? We worked on plenty of those. Biggest POS excuse of a car ever.
They get their statistics from Corvette owners...be it good or bad...
2013 would be my 1st choice when buying a C6! It's the last year of a long production run. I bought my 13GS new and have had zero issues in just about 4yrs of ownership. It's an amazing car I plan to keep for a very long time. Go buy that 13GS!!
Cheers mate. Consumers gave no specifics, but, after thinking about it, I wonder if the report was based solely on the problems with 2013 427 Collector Edition convertible?
Unless a '13's covered by an AMW, it's long off warranty.
Not exclusive to '13's, C6 is often expensive to fix on your own dime when it does break.
Harmonic balancer? $
Synchros? $
Can easily spend a bundle on diagnostic time tracking down electronic gremlins, most of which won't allow operation unless fixed. $$$
Nonetheless IF a C6 -of any trim- was loved, properly maintained & never flogged it's quite likely to be more reliable than most pre-owned vehicles w/ equal age/miles of any marque.
C6 was that good, IMO.
OP: acquire a GMVIS on '13 you've your eye on, any GM dealer can provide one free just takes a VIN.
Learn this (& any other GM veh) car's history while under B2B.
If it was a bummer, you'll see 'it' in B&W fast.
I have a 13 GS that I have driven hard for 15k with no issues except for a blown Bose woofer. You will not be disappointed with any C6, but the 13's do not have any more issues than any other year.

Not quite true... both my 2012 and 2013 Grandpasports are still under Chevy Warranty... they are both CPO cars... CPO warranty is not a AMW, same as factory Warranty just restarted or extended. Lots of those out there.. back at ya

To be clear, I have not made up my mind, just putting everything out there, that's why I asked for owners' input. Geesh.
If you like the GS and you have it checked over my a good mechanic, then buy it and enjoy. Just keep in mind that it is a used car and may have issues the same as any other used vehicle. I bought my 13 GS last April and love it. Best one I have had. Enjoy!
Strange how the later edition dropped off the '05 and '13 and replaced it with the '15. The edition I used is dated 2015.
CR only goes back 10 years, that's why the 05 wasn't listed in the 2016 edition. As for the 2013, more data after another year probably brought it up closer to or at average rating.
From the looks of that 'cars to avoid' page it looks like they have nearly covered every make and model of Chevy. According to that book I guess it's safe to buy a 1 ton dually diesel.
I don't think I'd put too much faith in that publication. For Corvettes or any car for that matter. Looks like plenty of '13 owners here are happy.

That's a list of cars to avoid out of the ones they have tested and reviewed and collected data on. They don't really test all cars, or specialty vehicles or exotics. That's why Ferraris are not on the list of cars to avoid. I'm not always fond of consumer reports, but over the years I have found their used car ratings to be somewhat accurate. Trouble spots that they mention, were often things I would end up having an issue with down the road if I did have issues. That being said, by todays standard cars are pretty reliable, and even a car that has an average rating today is way ahead of what was considered average 20 or 30 years ago.

Sounds like it is coming from the dash and glove box area. Noticeable above 50 mph, increases noise level with speed. There is a tsb on this.
Several threads about the cowl buzz noise on the forum. My car was under warranty, so the dealer fixed it. They actually had a replacement in stock.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
