Default SuperVettes rear diffuser problem

So, I having some trouble installing the supervette rear diffuser. I was told besides trimming some of the liner it will fit right on, but its not. As you can see in the picture its hitting the sway bar area(bolt) even tried moving it upward still hits the top. So I trimmed about 3inch off and still looks like I need at least another inch or two. Not happy about trimming something as expensive as this was. Has anyone else run into this problem?? Is there something I did wrong. I evened tried using two people and every way we tried kept hitting the sway bar area

Thanks!

I have the SS Vette diffuser, and while they are slightly different the fit is the same. my diffuser fits over and covers the sway bar, from your pic it looks like your sway bar is angled wrong, the curve shoud point towards the rear of the car not to the ground.

Did you buy the car used? Was there bodywork or undercarriage work done to your car?

It looks like you have the larger after market sway bars. The person you bought the car from installed it wrong most likely.

My sway bar also point down just like your (just step out to garage to check it) so I don't think it installed wrong. I think you should call up Supervettes to see where should you mount that bottom portion. Even if you trim it to clear that bolt, where would you mount it to? I have a different brand diffuser and it sit below the sway bar, below that bolt.

Yes, bought the car used. It is the z51 so it does have the bigger sway bars. I just bought johnny oconnell so it's gonna be even bigger. From the pic on google of the sway bar it looks like it's installed right?? I'll have to contact supervettes I guess...

My tail light have been discontinued for about 4 years now. I only have two as spares in case something happens to one or more of them.

nothing yet. Once supervettes has your money they don't seem to care much about you. Can anyone confirm if the sway bar is on wrong? Got a few people on this thread saying yes and some no...
thanks
