So I have a 2008 Corvette convertible, in storage all winter. Went to take it out last week, battery was dead (obviously). I boosted it and ran the car but both windows wont work at all. They are both stuck slightly down (when I opened the doors). Both window buttons on the driver door panel, and the one on the passenger panel do nothing. The windows don't move at all. Suggestions?
I understand how to index the windows.. problem is, the windows won't move at all, up or down. I've also tried to just hold the window switch in the up position like it says, but I get nada.

Follow the procedure anyway. Hold, release, then hold. Up and down. Whether they move or not, follow the instructions.
If they still don't move, I'd disconnect the battery again for a few minutes, then reconnect and try the procedure again. After that, you're probably into electrical troubleshooting (relay, etc)
Thanks. I tried but I think the driver's side window switch is actually not working.. I'll have to do some troubleshooting. I did notice that my anti-theft light (car with the lock through it) is on and stays on. The car starts and runs so I'm not sure what's going on with that now.

Boy.....I sympathize with ya on some of these post. I don't know why anyone would suggest to index your windows when that involves moving them up and down and you said they won't move up and down. Kinda like trying to call the phone company to tell them your phone ain't working......good luck, and keep us posted on the fix.

Because after a battery disconnect the windows must be reinitialized (that makes the indexing work properly) If the window doesn't know which is up and down, if you sit in the car with the door closed and in acc or on mode hold the switch both up and down, the window will start to move and reach the stop. Holding the button an additional 3 seconds confirms the stop, then do the other direction. If the door isn't closed, the window may not move because it has lost position information.
It's free to try and sometimes works. How do YOU let the phone company know your phone isn't working? Write a letter?
Did you find a fix? My car is doing the same thing. Anti-theft light and no response from the driver door panel. My passenger window works but nothing from my driver door controls. door open button is the only things that seams to be working.

Oh heck no. I won't write a letter, i'll just hold the phone up to one ear and the the other back and forth and then it should start working sooner or later.......Help us Mr. wizard !!!!......
sooooo nothing in my driver door would work except the button to open. I also had a security light on. The fix i found was a broken red with white stripe wire between the door and the body. I pulled off the door panel and removed the door speaker. I also removed the seal trim and a cover just above the hood release. There are two connections there that can be undone and allows you to pull the wires back into the door. I then undid the loom and found the wire. Hope this is helpful to someone, took me forever to find lol
