325 vs. 345 rear tire
Hey guys, I just got a flat in my rear tire and looking for some options in terms of non run-flats. I'm looking at Nitto Invos in particular. It seems that a lot of people go with a 345 rear tire instead of the 325 stock size... Why is that??? Besides costing a bit more, does 345 fit/perform/ride better? It looks like both will fit the Z, so which size should I go with and why, if you would.
I'm looking to place an order tonight so any quick feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I just put a set of 295/345 Invos on my Z06 w/stock rims. I only got to put about 20 miles on them before foot surgery but I like them.
The fronts on a 9.5" rim are ok (maybe a bit pinched), the rears 12" are fine.
Ride is excellent, low noise I like them. I'll probably put 275/325 Invos on my C6 coupe.

Contrary to popular belief, I'd stick with 275/325's.
A 345 is 20mm wider than a 325, that's .8 of an inch.
Drive through a puddle of water and tell me your contact patch is 20mm wider, hardly.
Why carry the extra rubber and weight around if you're not getting the benefit.
It's great to see so many doing it, makes my car faster without doing anything.
There are more reasons too, but this should be enough for you to make an informed decision.

Just make sure you are going to get all four tires. If you try to run nonrunflats on the rear with runflats up front.... you wont be to happy!!! The car will not handle right.

If you are thinking about rear 345 Michelin PS ZP's (Zero Pressure run-flats), there is a slight difference in width vs the GY run-flats but, they are actually slimmer than the 325 GY's.
I bought the PS ZP's mounted to new aftermarket rims in stock size 12X19 and look at the photo below (the Michelin is on the right). The tire pressure for both was 30 PSI. I was surprised that the GY's were wider. From what of been told by tire folks (Discount Tire) not all tire sizes are equal to all manufactures. I guess Michelin felt it should brag about being bigger when they truly aren't.

I already put in an order for 345 Nittos Invos this morning, so if I wanted to replace the original front tires (275 GYs) with Invos, would I need to get 295s since 275 Invos would be narrower than the original GYs??? Would 295s be too wide for the front?
