I know my BPV is normally closed when the engine is not running, it sounds like its closed until you take your foot of the gas, and if your still in gear at high rpm, it continues to release air, is this how a bov works? Mike
i want to scare old people which you u end up with richard!!
I went with the Vortech Race valve, slightly louder than stock but the HKS SSQV is even louder from what I've heard. The only issue you might run into since the HKS unit is larger in size is finding clearance in that area where the valve sits...shame on you for wanting to scare old people, but wanting to scare the panties off pedestrian, I support your cause.
Next week I will be at 20 psi of boost on my Procharged 402 and I went with a HKS-SSQV BOV for relief. Here's a pic.
Heres a tip for those who go with the HKS kit for their Procharger systems :
The adapter I am using is for a Mitsubishi Evo. It has the correct size 1.5" outlet so It's a direct fit replacement for the Procharger BOV kit.

how that bracket with the bigger tensioner coming along?.
Hey Shane
The Procharger tensioner mod is almost done. I will have some detailed pics for all you guys when all is installed. along with results on a new thread in the FI section. I want to test it before I toot everybody's horn and see how much boost I can get with no slippage.

Whats the part # for the hks ssqv vavle for evo, this is the one I want and I was just going to fab the pipe. I'd rather buy it as a kit. I've heard these BOV's there quite unique. mike

The part # is " 1421-SA001 " it's a universal BOV - - - $165.00 shipped
They do not come with the mount, only "O" ring and C clip. A kit is a more money for the same parts.
The SSQV mount you can find on Ebay for about $25 shipped.
Do a search for " 1.5 SSQV BOV adapter Evo "

well i got the vortech bypass vavle and made the mistake of getting the aluminum flange. if i would have got the steel one any muffler shop could have welded it together. with the aluminum one i had to got to a fab shop and wait 4 days. 35 dollars to weld a 1.5 inch circle...gesh! anyway my ati kit came with a 1.5 inch pipe that was not use. it dropped right down into the flange. i am sooo ready to hear no more trash bag flapping in the wind...lol
ok it on and no more flappy noises but still not hearing the pisst i want... i want the f&f loud *** hiss like in the link in brabus post. i my exhaust just to loud to hear it?
