Default A&A alignment issues

Warning!!! This is a long post but I'm fed up with my car so I'm trying to give as much info as possible so I can get it resolved. Thanks for taking the time to read this and respond if you have any suggestions!

Summary:

Recently installed A&A kit is mounted too close to the engine.

Background:

I mentioned in a previous post that I took my car to the tuner after I installed a used A&A kit and they noticed the bracket was hitting the crank pulley. I noticed it was close during installation but it was not contacting the pulley when I started it and drove it to the tuner so I thought it would be ok. The shop took the head unit off several times to ensure it was installed correctly, removed the crank bolt and reinstalled to ensure it was on correctly, and called A&A to confirm all the spacers were the correct length. They never found anything wrong so they just machined the bottom of the bracket for clearance.

I thought I was good until Saturday (a week after getting the car back) it shredded a belt in half (3 ribs left). I drove it home gently and noticed that the supercharger bracket was hitting the crank pulley again. So, I removed the small spacer at the top between the head unit and the front bracket so I could tighten that long bolt more which pulled the bottom of the bracket out enough to clear the pulley. I installed a new belt and drove it a few miles but noticed the belt was too far back on the crank pulley and making noise.

I reinstalled the spacer tonight and took some time to eyeball the alignment on all the pulleys. I started noticing that not only is the bracket too close to the crank pulley, but all the pulleys are too close to the engine. This is causing the belt to not even cover the front rib of the crank pulley and the belt is also very far back on the water pump pulley. I previously thought this was just a problem with the crank pulley being too far out or the supercharger bracket being bent at the bottom but it appears the entire unit is too close to the engine.

So, what could cause the entire supercharger to be mounted too close to the engine? Could an aftermarket (non OEM) waterpump cause it to mount differently than designed? I don't know if mine is OEM but that's the only thing I can think of that would change the mounting point, although that's only 2 of the 4 bolts that go into the engine. I also noticed that I have two extra spacers in the bag of parts the seller gave me. Could these have anything to do with this?

Here is the supercharger installed:

This is the bracket contacting the crank pulley:

This is the belt coming off the supercharger pulley going to the water pump pulley:

I would have to say that the balancer is not on the engine correctly. The rest of the bracket looks good. I would not worry about the extra spacers, They look like ones that get used on the factory tensioner. I would get with Andy, He has excellent customer service. I bet he would answer the phone right now and help you solve your issues. It would not matter if you purchased from him or some else.

I feel like it is a bigger issue than just the crank pulley because the belt coming off the top of the supercharger pulley is near the back of the water pump pulley. It seems like the entire unit is too far back.

I plan to call A&A when I get some free time today. Thanks for the help.

This shows the front rib exposed on the crank pulley (pulley furthest away):

Sorry to hear about this Randy. To us it looks like the crank pulley is coming off. Look at the picture above, notice how the crank pulley is sticking out past the other pulleys. The water pump looks like the OE one. Either the crank pulley spun on the crank at some point before it was pinned and the hub, or crank is damaged. Or the balancer is coming apart. Get under the car and see if you can wiggle the balancer by hand, also check the balancer bolt and see if you can turn that by hand. Give us a call when you can, we'll go over a few other things. I know this can be frustrating but we'll get it figured out.
