I am experiencing a surging while driving at low speeds(RPM) so even at 50 mph I can feel a surging sensation. Is this a tuning issue??
A6 12gs A&A 6lb boost. Thanks in advance
oh yes - tuner adjusted some transmission values and some timing he said as we drove, stopped programmed restarted several times. Much better but it remains.
Dont think its vacuum, its steady on gauge. I am on the hp hunt and had my engine built with callies rods and forged pistons, I gues the plugs could have gotten damaged in the process?
no misfire codes they checked. service ahs is on so its going to dealer tomorrow to calibrate or fix whatever went bad. Checked the vac, and all plug wires are on securely.

I wouldn't imagine you rebuilt the engine with all race components and kept the stock camshaft in, did you?
If the engine has an aggressive cam it will never idle like a stock car. Its one of the reasons why they don't come with big cams from the factory...
powerlabs:
I know this might sound crazy but I did keep stock cam because I wanted to maintain good idle and driveability, not a huge fan of choppy idle.
Unreal:
what is correct gap? and plugs were supplied in my A&A kit, 1000 miles old.
Dont want to pop tranny and axles and all but would eventually like to reach 700+/-. I have heard 600 is kinda the high end on stock internals ... so still being conservative. I built the motor so the most vulnerable part(stock pistons) would not break and cost a fortune, not that the other stuff is cheap. did not want to kill a piston and score the block rendering it junk. do you all know where i can get a vacuum diag. to look for leaks?
thanks!

What injectors are you running then? My car idled perfectly with an A&A kit, there is no reason yours shouldn't if you have a stock cam...
All I was saying it there is no way to say "Yes the tune will fix it" without knowing what the problem is. If it is a problem with the tune, then yes. Then again it could be many other things that the tune won't be able to fix.
I guess I will try another tuner then because I feel this one has no more tricks left. I will mention the speed density approach to him and check his reaction.
what about AHS, the light is on now and had to reschedule for monday at dealer. last week they said communication error but if I turn the wheel all left turn then try to go straight it applies the brakes on the left front then it drives normally. I think installer did a poor job and could hae buggered up something but who knows. Upon reading it seems everything from plug wires to too much salt in your diet sets this thing off kilter
This is an example of unstable MAF. Note that MAF and RPM scale is very small (0...10 g/s and 1150...1250 rpms), but it anyway shows effect of unstable MAF at steady state cruising:
TCS issue can probably be fixed in the tune also. It's probably a MAF tune with stock MAP sensor and you need to disable code P0108 to No Error Reported.
