I spent a lot of time making shrouding/shields/etc. It does make a big difference. Front end is all boxed in, and around the radiator.

I do have the cut down radiator, but wouldn't do it again. Much rather run the full size with proper fans. The cut down limits your fan choice/size and reduces cooling. For a race car, fine, for a street car not so good.

I made 1090rwhp on full size radiator. For race/events can pull the dongle and run a screen or bell mouth. So the concept of needing a shorter radiator for a 4" pipe is silly. Plus you can fit the 4" inlet with other better methods, like adjusting the cradle.

Finally hot enough to get some good data.

107-108F outside. Drove to and from work, out to lunch, around all afternoon, and back in rush hour traffic. Highest temp I saw was 212F on coolant, and 201F on oil stuck in traffic with AC on. Moving on highway it ran 197-198 and 195 on oil.

So far oil cooler made a HUGE difference. I wasn't expecting it, since my old oil cooler didn't do crap. It was 3x the size too, and still didn't cool as well. Goes to show you need more fresh air.

super interesting. I would not have guessed it would be that dramatic.

also interesting your coolant is that much higher than your oil, my car is usually a few * the other way with oil temp > coolant temp

Pretty sure canuk's is a wet sump too.

Should add a small bit of oil capacity and cool regardless of having a dry sump tank or not

To add to this cooling thread, I lost a bet saying Royal Purple Ice is a waste of money. I added it to my car last week and temps have dropped about 5 degrees across the board. One bet I'm happy to lose. LOL

what did you see for temps prior to the cooler install.

Did you reuse the block on the engine where the lines come out?

I don't know cause put cooler at same time as that blower. Used a low profile adapter from improved racing.

I got 15ft of -8 line, 3 90 degree fittings, and 1 45 degree. I used the improved racing adapter. I have a LPE adapter too I'll see you cheap. Either one work, just the improved as a t-stat to warm up quicker.

Lines are ~5ft each, slightly longer. It will depend on how your route them, what adapter, and what fittings, and where exactly they go. Best to just measure and cut on the car.
