I know if I write this it's not going to happen so I really don't want to say anything but... I guess I let some of the cat out of the bag so I should just let it run around now.

The installation instructions are done, press release should be complete and a shipment should be heading this way the beginning of next week.

Tom, I'm not quite sure why you continue to tell people misinformation. I realize you're getting some of this misinfo from PK and Dan directly at DiabloSport, but you also share in some of the blame for spreading fallacies.

Everyone, for the record, DiabloSport has NOT released any firm date for the release of the Predator. Any dates that are currently being given out are complete fallacies given, and do nothing more than produce false hope. The lead individual of the Automotive Calibration / Research and Development at DiabloSport (Johan Mangs) has confirmed this.

Anyone who doubts such information only need to call DiabloSport and ask for Johan.

Why not just say its in stock once it comes in? You're a top shelf vendor and I don't know why you would hurt your credibilty with the risk that they wont show up.

I couldn't agree more, I pre paid(paypal, so they have the money) Tbyrne for a predator the end of August when they announced that they would be shipping within a couple of weeks and here we are(in Jan.) still talking about any day now! It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth!

It's one of those things where after this amount of time and it getting so close that you (or I ) feel that the info being given is correct. When Diablo says "they will ship Monday" I expect them to go out Monday.... maybe Tuesday. Last week we were told that they'd start shipping the beginning of this week. I had someone call a little while ago. She was told "not today". It's pretty much to the point where I won't be saying anything until boxes are on the way. And given the wait that we've had, I think the truck will burn before it gets here.

Now if Johan released the Chipmaster Revolution Software for sale, this unit would bite into LS2edit and HPTuners sales for sure. Not much use on modded cars.

We now have 3-4 shipments on the way here now. I expect to see boxes any day now

Here are all of the details for this programmer -

The flash tuner that allows for end user adjustability
The flash tuner which accepts custom tunes directly from DiabloSport or from ChipMaster Revolution dealers that you can install yourself
The flash tuner with built-in advanced diagnostic capability that displays fault codes along with descriptions of the code right on the Predator screen
The flash tuner with data monitoring capability
The flash tuner with a true graphical display that's 300% larger then the competition's puny text only display
The flash tuner running on a custom high performance, multi-threading KROS operating system
mind, POWER!
Performance Tune: Designed to add power and torque using premium fuel.
Factory Tune: Designed for users who wants to adjust parameters using the factory tune.

Average power gains are in 10-20 RWHP range in the cars and 20-30 RWHP in the truck line. The Predators additional power makes itself noticeable immediately with an increase in power that starts in the low RPMs and builds into a frenzy at the high RPMs.

A Predator equipped vehicle will notice significant improvements in drivability. The additional power and improved shift patterns created by the Predator tune will yield quicker acceleration, firmer shifts and better mileage, whether it is in town or out on the highway towing an 8,000 lbs trailer.

The power increase in the lower RPMs will yield a better throttle response. The wider power band that the Predator creates will be particularly noticeable in city driving, where speeds constantly change. The mid-to-upper power increase is extremely useful on the highway when passing slower vehicles and to quickly maneuver out of emergency situations.

The increase in MPG is a byproduct of maximized engine efficiency, the improved timing curve and air/fuel ratio creates a more complete combustion, i.e. the engine extracts more power from each molecule of gasoline.

Predator tunes re-map the:
Fuel Curves
Timing Curves
Torque Management
Extend Rev Limiters

DiabloSport Performance tunes require the use of Super Unleaded / Premium grade fuel only, like carried by Amoco/BP, Sunoco or Mobil.

2) Predator Applications
The Predator 2005 GM 6.0L LS2 (part no. U7191) is applicable for the following vehicles:
2005 Chevrolet Corvette
2005 Chevrolet SSR
2005 Pontiac GTO

3) What is the GM Predator?
The Predator for 2005 GM 6.0L LS2 (part no. U7191) is a state-of-the art high performance tuning flash programmer, which advances the timing and optimizes the air/fuel ratio . Unlike other 'tuners', DiabloSport’s programming is performed in very small increments throughout the entire RPM range, for a smoother, wider and a more predictable power delivery.

4) Why to get DiabloSport Predator?
The flash tuner that allows for end user adjustability
The flash tuner which accepts custom tunes directly from DiabloSport or from ChipMaster Revolution dealers that you can install yourself
The flash tuner with built-in advanced diagnostic capability that displays fault codes along with descriptions of the code right on the Predator screen
The flash tuner with data monitoring capability
The flash tuner with a true graphical display that's 300% larger then the competition's puny text only display
The flash tuner running on a custom high performance, multi-threading KROS operating system
In house engineering and manufacturing is the only way to assure quality in every component. DiabloSport does it all, from molding the plastic to automated assembly of each product. Check out our virtual factory tour.

5) Dyno Tested Performance Tunes

The Predator was created with one thing in mind, POWER!

Predator tunes re-map the:
Fuel Curves
Timing Curves
Torque Management
Extend Rev Limiters

DiabloSport Performance tunes require the use of Super Unleaded / Premium grade fuel only, like carried by Amoco/BP, Sunoco or Mobil.

6) Adjustable Parameters
The Predator features end user adjustable parameters so the end user can customize his/her tune depending on other modifications done to the vehicle. Because we allow for timing and fuel adjustments the end user can optimize the tune for his/hers specific vehicle utilizing a dyno with proper air fuel monitoring and utilizing the Predator's live data feature to monitor timing and other vital parameters.

The Predator allows the end user to adjust the following parameters:
Timing Table 1000-1800rpm (+15/- 40%)
Timing Table 2000-3800rpm (+15/- 40%)
Timing Table 4000-7000rpm (+15/- 40%)
Fuel Table 2000-3800rpm (+/- 20%)
Fuel Table 4000-7000rpm (+/- 20%)
Idle (+ 400rpm / -400rpm)
Rev Limiters
CAGS ON/OFF (skip shift)
COT ON/OFF (catalytic converter overtemp protection)
COT enable time
Fan Calibration
Injector Adjustment
Adjust for different injector size
Adjust for long term fuel trims

The Predators diagnostic features allows end user scan and erase fault codes as well as monitor and log live data while driving. Predator can read and erase fault codes, and contains all the manufacturer specific P codes.

You get all of this for $399.99 and we include free overnight shipping to you!

Sounds great and glad it's finally here. I will call and order one.

A suggestion for Predator: it would be nice to be able to disconnect the Tire Pressure Sensor system so the computer doesn't interfere with power delivery and handling when we use a different set of track tires & wheels that are not equipped with sensors.

Tom I have a question.

I had a Hypertec programmer in my 98-F150 The tranny canned it’s self and I had to have it towed to the Dealer. Before I got there they flashed the computer and I lost the program because it had to be down loaded and re uploaded every time I took it in. All I had left was a plastic hand held box that was useless. Is this going to be the case with the Predator?
