TBYRNE Motorsports is now taking pre-orders for the LS2 Predator programmers. Diablo expects to have them ready to start shipping in a few weeks so this will allow you to receive one of the first that is released.

The Predator is a state-of-the art high performance tuning flash programmer, which advances the timing, optimizes the air/fuel ratio and remaps the transmission shift points (in automatic transmissions). Unlike other 'tuners', DiabloSport’s programming is performed in very small increments throughout the entire RPM range, for a smoother, wider and a more predictable power delivery.


This unit has taken the hand-held programmer to a new level. You will notice quicker acceleration and better throttle response. If you have an automatic transmission, the Predator will also give you a firmer, more responsive shift pattern (gas vehicles only at this time). Now, here’s the good news…If you're not totally satisfied with the way DiabloSport program performs, the Predator allows you to make your own adjustments to the program. For example: If you feel that the shift points are too firm, you can go into the program and lower the transmission line pressure (gas vehicles). If you feel that you can benefit from a higher shift point rpm, you can go into the program and raise shift points. If you feel that you will benefit from a few more degrees of ignition timing, you can go into the program and add some timing (gas vehicles). The Predator allows you to "fine tune" the DiabloSport program to meet your specific requirements.
The Predator has diagnostic abilities near identical to GM’s Tech2 software. The predator will allow you to read diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), erase DTC’s and perform live data monitoring. You can monitor your engine sensors while driving your vehicle and much more.

It would be nice to see some results in hp from the predator. There was no mention of the torque management system.Im sure they had to of had a few cars to test it on.Lets hear some results.

If the idea of having to learn to tune, buying an expensive full blown software program seems a little intimidating, we have the answer, and the adjustment to allow for a safe range of tuning changes to be made, along with speedo re-cal, extended limiters and all the other great features Predator is known for.

I too would be interested in whether or not it (can) disable torque management. I will not buy one unless it can.

nothing mentioned about the torque management.I am 10 minutes from your testing facility in delray.Feel free to use my car as a test if you guys are interested. You will need a few proven dyno results to get market share.PM me if your interested and I will post your results.My car is a 4k mile 6spd with bullets and stinger intake.

 

Will it eliminate or at least greatly reduce torque management? That is the big question. I'm going to try to get an answer tomorrow.

 

If it works as well as the one in my Cobra then I doubt if anyone will be disappointed.

 

It looks like that I can reprogram the PCM with your thing but what is with the BCM to change for example the radio region code, to disable CAGS or the daylight running lights?

 

what are the expected hp gains and torque on a stock z51 vette 6 spd

 

Is there any word on whether this device eliminates or reduces torque management?

 

AND allow you to turn the vette off in any gear without running the battery down. That's all I need right now!

This unit doesn't do anything with the BCM. We don't have any numbers for the LS2 yet but customers have reported gains in the 15-20hp range for other vehicles. No word on the TM yet and it won't do anything with what gear the car can be turned off in.

1) Torque Management
PLEASE NOTE: Disabling torque management will put greater stress on your drive line.
TM Abuse Mode time limit= This is the time in abuse mode as a function of temperature. Turning it off in conjunction with Upshift Torque reduction and %Torque Reduction vs RPM will eliminate torque management. However we have noticed that the shift feel when disabling the upshift torque reduction in trucks and SUV's is reduced and therefore recommend leaving it ON for trucks and SUV's.

%Torque Reduction vs RPM= Torque reduction as a function of RPM, turning it off in conjunction with TM abuse mode time limit and upshift torque reduction will eliminate torque management. Sounds like "fun" but since I'm electronically challenged".......
HOWEVER, if "they" could add a program that would, er....disable the
tire pressure sensors so a "racer" could switch wheel/tire combinations without a lot of hassle, it would/could be a good selling point all on it's own.
