I remember reading in one of the posts here that the wiper assembly has to be removed/reinstalled to install the FAST along with the LPE kit. Is that true? If so, how much work is involved?

At my mod level, the FAST seems to be worth around 10-12 hp, so I'll still probably try the ported LS2 first.

Yes, but I don't know how to contact him. My tuner is down at Bowling Green for an event. They take their dyno around to different events.

They will probably have a preferred vendor to get one from, but I thought I would try to do some research for them.

How have you been by the way. Took me a few months to figure out that was you for some reason. LOL

My tuner told me they put one on a GTO that had to be moded to fit and it took two hours.

So that is ok with me. He said figure 3 hours to be safe for the C6.

I think it will be here by the end of the month.

jeremy i think he was refering to the a&a fast that has been modified so you do not have to cut the fire wall. that intake will not take boost. as he cuts and patchs the intake not the wall. as for the ls2 intake, i read so much about there being flashing on the ls2 intake that i took mine off when i did my headers. there is very little to do to the intake that i saw. there are seems where the pieces are plastic welded together but nothing like i expected to see. i think this is why we have not seen anyone jump in here about the ported intakes. i cleaned mine up with a dremel but i doubt it is worth 2 hp let alone 10 or 15. i am looking for a fast right now. can not believe they have not made one i figured after 2 yrs we would see one but i guess the figure that cutting the fire wall is no big deal.....i dont either

Well...actually, I'm too busy admiring your ProCharger kit... I really like the CF cover , it looks to be a perfect fit w/ the FAST intake & ATI bracket...were there any triming needed to the CF cover?

Also, was the FAST intake installed prior to the ATI kit or after? How much did you approx. gain with the added FAST intake?

Thanks!

The TPIS intake is being discuss in another thread, I thought I just share with you guys some info:

LS2 Intake vs. TPiS Modified LS-6 Intake

The intakes were tested on a mild built streetable 412 cid LS2 with our TPiS 1-3/4" headers and TPiS calibration. The test was done back to back on the same day with all variables staying consistent through both tests. The only thing that was changed was the intake manifold itself, and the stock LS2 throttle body was used in both tests . At peak horsepower at 6200 rpm on both configurations, our intake was 43.6 hp bigger and peak torque was 28.1ft/lbs @ 5500 rpm. The torque and horsepower figures are bigger throughtout the entire rpm range. A huge gain.

Here's the LINK to the chart:

Thanks for the comp. The CF cover was trimmed to fit but it looks like it was made as is and I love it. The Fast was installed same time as ProCharger and other mods so unfortunately only dyno numbers were before and after everything was done.

HP came from just the porting. Mods had already been added.
