Default Shorty Headers

Has anyone done the short headers using the stock cats and if so was there much of an improvement ? I know they're not as great as the Long tubes but using the car during the cold weather I don't want to run into the cat code issues that have been mentioned on the forum...Thanks.

The more I looked into it, the more I found out that they are worthless. Lots pain and $ for no gain.

I agree....from what I know, I don't think 'shorty' headers are worth installing. Many people, including myself, run long tube headers without generating CEL warnings or throwing codes. I'm no master mechanic but 21st Century Muscle Cars setup and tuned my C6 perfectly.

as long as you have teh car tuned you dont have to worry about cels

and the shorty headers wil net pretty much no gain and they still cost 1400

This is NOT the way to go...... I agree with every one, no real power increase, big waste of $$
Call the Vette Doctors..... 631 841-0779 in Amityville. ..Long tubes W/ no codes....free flow cats , thermostat and a tune = 50 RWHP!!!
