I Need Traction Baaaaad !!!!!!!!
Here is a little up date on the racelogic TC system install.
I mounted the computer by my fuse box. I did not want to do any cutting of my cars injector harness so I made a injector jumper harness so it's plug and play.
It took me 3 hours to design, crimp ,solder and put this thing together.
heres a few pics. More to come.

Hey Guys,
.......Here's a video I took today with about 400 miles on my new motor.
You can see why I need some traction control. The bikers behind me in the video decided they did not want to play around after our run in on the expressway.
Oh, sorry for the front camera tilted on an angle. will fix next time.

Holy %&@(!! That thing is an animal!! Can't wait to see the results..and some more video
pkstr
The reason it's taking me a little longer is I'm having a hard time finding a place for the dash interface where it blends in and looks like it came that way. I don't like cheesy stick on stuff
Since I don't smoke and neither does anybody riding in my car the Ashtray is a good spot. I need to fabricate a bezel.
It will be posted when I'm done
Be patient guys
, I have a lot of stuff going right now

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Let us all know how you do on a real drag strip vs. the big Supras and killer Vipers if the crutch works Dude. OH.....I forgot to mention dual rev limiters were available ten years ago on a MSD 6 and was adjusted by a screwdriver with a switch for first rev limit under the clutch pedal. Bracket racers uses manually adjusted throttle stops.
........I'm going through the whole book on installing the traction control system as I write this post. I will start installation as soon a s they send me some needed resistors for my ABS sensor integration. I gather it should take me a few hours to wire in the complete system including mounting the in car controller. I pulled all the schematics that I need to do all the wiring yesterday from the GM service manual on line.
.....Calibration with my Onboard PC will be the more time consuming process. From what I am gathering so far, I need to first determine while test driving, the default degree of traction control the computer will use on my injectors at 5 different stages of traction loss, eg. from slight slip to excessive slip. Then it will use those parameters to cut injectors accordingly to maintain traction and fine tune it to my cars power level
.....There are so many features with this digital controller that I can write 3 more paragraphs.
Once I have the installation and more important the programming down and perfected on my car ,I will do installations and tuning on other peoples high HP cars that are in need of traction .
......The launch control feature seems cool. Hit a button from a dead stop and it activates. You have a desired launch rev limit set on the controller and a set amount wheel slip, if any, you desire. You then just mash the pedal to the floor. It keeps your engine at your programmed launch RPM eg 4000rpm. You then slip the clutch out and hold on. Once programmed properly ( big key) ,I should be able to go through all the gears with my gas pedal to the floor with the maximum possible acceleration my tires can provide under any circumstance including accelerating during cornering.
.....If it works like it says in the book, I will be thrilled and ready to stand my ground against the high HP Killer Vipers and Turbo Supras that we see roaming the streets from time to time with their nose up in the air looking to get a Vette kill.

Stay tuned for more Updates and installation pics.

Your rude post implies that a person is a poor driver if you use mods to help you maximise your performance. OK. There is so much wrong with that premise that it's tough to figure out where to start. Have YOU modded your car from stock at ALL? If so, you have added a crutch. For that matter, feul injection is a crutch. Windshields are a crutch. Frikkin seat padding is a crutch.
Crazy people...
Perry strikes me as a stand-up guy, and I am very much enjoying witnessing his most recent mod venture. Some people just can not seem to allow others to embark on their own life journeys without being hypercritical. I, for one, wish Perry continued success in his quest. I only wish he had more vids to share with us armchair-type Vette enthusiasts...

My true friends at CF, thank you for all your support.
Friends like you is why I share everything I can with detail and help everybody that calls or emails me. I've spoken with many of you
some for hours and it was a pleasure.
I will continue to share all I can even when my shop opens and start working there full time.
That guys post definitely speaks for itself... His mouth is bigger than his belly and his brain is back in the future.
I need not waste any of our time on a lengthy reply to him, you guys said it exactly like it is.

As far as the Racelogic Traction control system, I did not do a thing since installing my injector harness I made and mounting the computer.
I still have to do the ABS wiring, mount Controller and the launch control switch. I don't want to mount the Race Logic controller just anywhere on the dash, I want to make it look OEM so I might paint the face black to blend in, it doesn't look acceptable to me anywhere I've put it so far on my dash.
I have sooooooo many jobs piling up I need to get my shop open. ASAP like NOW.
That's why the videos are slowing in frequency and my Vette mods are at a halt at the moment. Like I said before ,You can bet that you will see this thread complete with a thorough testing on video with TC unit on and off. Cams are going up at the shop also.. I will be doing some tutorials and posting them for you guys that want to turn a wrench..
Thank you again for backing me when I'm gone.

[/QUOTE]Ya, done a few mods before now that you bring it up and just happen to have a quick 16 street car shootout trophy sitting above my desk right now. Even had one of those “big Supras” done by Corky Bell that was featured in Motor Trend.
The only reason I formerly used a MSD6 was to retard the timing for nitrous and consistency at the track dialing in a stable launch rpm based upon track conditions. Not as an equalizer or to compensate for basic driving skills. Certainly possible to take a basic launch rev limiter, bracket racer type throttle stop and just floor it if you can’t lift your right foot.
Again, I have no issues with people using newer technology and traction control has proven itself in Formula 1. It was also banned because it took a certain degree of driver’s skill out of the picture. Don’t think it’s a “must have” for any of the drivers in Formula 1 to drive the cars by any means.
The issue I have is the thought process thinking any single device is a substitute for basic driving skill. It’s an adjunct, not a means. There is a difference in using technology vs needing it to run with people who don't have it.
Amazing how your right foot can turn into traction control just like the guys in the big Supras, Vipers or even Formula 1 and Pro Stock are currently doing. Hell, the new 600 hp Viper doesn’t even have ABS if that gives you a clue as to what good drivers can do.
