No idea what their warranty policy is, however XMS mostly provides a service. I'd expect maybe the manufacture to warranty the product. However unless they were negligent I am not sure they make enough money from the parts to honor the warranty directly.

Sort of like your home's A/C if the heat pump breaks, the company will warranty it. However you still end up paying for labor after usually the first year.

However, If someone installed that heat pump and after the first week or two it was leaking freon you would expect the company to correct the problem.
After all I purchased a new part from them, they installed the unit and during the breakin period it started to leak...

Dave is the real owner.

I'm suprised Darrell is still there I hope Dave is still not leading him on about ownership to get him to work like he has done to other people.

However, this is none of my business, and I really do not care
.

I ended up paying the bill and told Dave I would let all my friends know how he treated me.
Clubs; Ace, Desert ,Sun Country, Extreme and Scottsdale C.C.

Darrell seems like a nice guy, I have spoken to him several times.

You can see my lack of Enthusiasm for dealing with the before mentioned company as for the way I was treated.

How much did it cost you to get it fixed?

Just for bad publicity reasons you would think they would cover it.

Just for the fact of doing the right thing they would cover what they sell and install, after all it was there part that was flawed!

Seems like everywhere you go someone has had a bad experience. The diff deal doesn't make any sense. Seems like an obvious problem with the install or a defective diff to begin with, making you pay for the fix is damn near criminal. There a bunch of us C6 guys in Phoenix, and our crowd is only getting bigger. Word of mouth like this is worth a ton of business.

Yet I don't like what I've seen with the other guys either.

So...who wants to fly Jeremy out?

I'm going to XMS tomorrow morning to have Stingers installed. So far I have nothing but good to say about their customer service. Jason has been terrific in answering questions and getting me re-scheduled after my car had to go back to the dealer for an unrelated issue. I'm expecting great things! Will let you know...

Thats why it is important for the Corvette Community to spread the word about Questionable dealings with Local Shops. Being factual explaining who, what where when and how etc.

What I found to be bizarre was when Dave said QUOTE...

" We don't cover performance/ race parts with a warranty???"

That means nothing they do is covered by warranty

caveat emptor

Well I don't want to get in here and start a war or anything but Darrell and I handle things around the shop so if you have an issue or something comes up we are more than happy to do what it takes to make customers happy. Granted some of the parts that we sell don't carry a warranty from the manufacturer so we cant cover.

Bottom line I guess would be to come in and talk to Darrell or I if there is an issue and we are more than happy to help. Dave isn't here that often so if someone calls about an issue I suggest you talk to me or Darrell.

Thanks guys again I don't want to fight or start a "he said she said" thing online because we always know where that goes.

Thats' why I have been factual.

The damage has been done by Dave (the owner).

Granted this is a dead dog now(Is that P.C. after Vick and DMX?) as I no longer own that car, but still have a bad experience.

So If i purchase a "new" C-5 differential from XMS and XMS installs said unit and during the breakin period ~500 miles the left axel seal starts to leak..............What is the warranty???
