Default ???? on LS6

I have the oppurtunity to purchase a complete low mile LS6,minus the actual block. He used the block, different heads, then went w/a blower on his setup. These are suppose to be very low mile pieces, and something about the heads had the good yellow springs????This is rotating assm.,heads,intake,mass,etc.Please,tell me a fairly close value for these pieces.I'm a C3 guy,so this all new to me.I'd like to put in one of the bumper cars here. Thanks in advance.Kevin

Those heads are great, sodium filled valves etc.

The yellow springs are std to LS6 and LS2. Its the valves that are special to LS6 - hollow intake, and hollow sodium filled exhaust.

Used car parts are maybe at best worth 1/2 price of new. Maybe shoot for 30 - 40%

A new LS6 head retail price is $1028, internet discounters sell them for closer to $720 (dealer cost)

A new crank is retail $866, can be had if discounted to around dealer cost for closer to $500.

Not sure if you'd even use the pistons again, those need to match the bore. Things like the cam and lifters also have to remain matched up.

Taking the original block away from the equation really kills the value of what's left.

For a project, I'd rather go with a crate motor.
