Many people want to be on the leading edge, few want to be on the bleeding edge. The issue seems to be the software upgrade that may be required.

I think you guys are over estimating the importance of firmness in a rack. While a firm rack is important to performance and bounce, don't forget about sensitivity and the resulting higher level of performance you will achieve with such.

Who do I send my two bucks to so we can get this over with?

if I will spend many on upgrading I will go for the trany.
the starring is not that important for me (used on hard steering wheel).
and for the LS3, 30 hp I don't know it seem's not so big improvement from the LS2, if I change the heads, cam and big induction, I believe that the LS2 will reach very easy the 30hp.

I know this is a C6 forum, but does anyone know if this rack will physically bolt up to a C5?

If it will bolt up without modification, I just might try it.

Just drove on '08 today. Its true the steering is much better, I would describe it as more accurate feel....easier to point the car exactly where you want it to go. This will be great for the track.

Now do I trade my 07 for an 08 or buy the 08 rack....

(btw you can feel the LS3 has more power and that new trans shifts so much better than the T56)

Does anyone know yet if reprograming is required??

Me too since I might need to rebuild mine anyway . Maybe Gene can pull a c5 rack and this one out of a box and take a look and see if there the same size ect .
