Default Durability Standards for Chevy (Corvette) Engines

Guys,
I’m looking for durability standards for Chevy (Corvette) engines.
How many hours they must run at wide open, how long under full load, etc.
It’s something like…
An LS1 must run 40 hours at wide open throttle… Before an engine is approved for a production car.
Anyone know what I’m talking about?
Thanks

Here's a link to their marine/crate engine durability test, it's 300 hours:
http://www.corvettefever.com/feature...crate_engines/

I know GM has two different durability tests for production car engines with one being 200 hours and the other being 400 hours. The '93-'95 405 HP LT5 was the first GM engine to pass the 400 hour test and I know the Duramax diesel passed it too. Most GM engines are given the 200 hour test but I can't find anything saying what the LS1/2/3/6/7 engines were tested to. Hopefully somebody can find the info for you.

BTW, the test is conducted at WOT with the engine load varied to cycle RPMs between peak HP RPM and peak torque RPM in a sawtooth pattern and I think the cycle is 5 minutes. Obviously, it's not done at the redline of the engine, but some people may get that impression when they see WOT.

PS To put 200 and 400 hours into perspective, that's 8 days, 8 hours and 16 days, 16 hours respectively of continuous running at WOT! And one other thing I forgot to mention above, the engines are torn down after the test and each part is inspected/examined for cracks (and I'm not talking visible cracks) with just one crack meaning a failure.

Each engine after it is built at the St Cathrine's or Wixom engine plants are run for 10 hours on natural gas BEFORE shipped to BG.

10 hours? I think it's more like a couple minutes. The longest hot test I've ever heard of is the LS7 which is 20 minutes. Last engine plant I was in, the engines were run maybe 5 - 10 minutes if that - no leaks, coughs, or farts - ship it.
