Default How much HP expected with this setup?

I know it is not a lot but spent a lot of money on visual mods...

LPE Intake..I am sure it is not a lot maybe 5hp (they state 12rwhp)
Predator programmer

Any ideas, I have a 2005 Z51 with A4 tranny.

Is it worth these or should I do something else instead. Do not want to get into the engine to deeply since I have 97k miles left on my bumper to bumper warranty from GM.

If the Predator does not yield that much, I might save alittle $$ and just lower the car which is about 85 dollars.

Opinions welcome.

I just thought, Norris has a Car show day coming up and can do a custom tune. I think it is 350. Only issue is I will not have the LPE intake in time.

Not sure if a Custom Dyno tune would net more HP than the Predator.

Since I started having LPE body parts, I think I want to stay with LPE thoughout the car. This way the engine matches the body. Even if I loss a few extra ponnies.

I am not going to do the headers...to much engine work for now. Want to stay in warranty good graces..

Tune..its a big bite out of my 500 dollar limit.

Hi Jon,

I am sure I will see you at the get together this weekend. I am not sure how much you will pay for the Predator, but my full tunes with dyno time run $350 and then I would suggest a cooler thermostat at the least on tiop of that as well as a pair of K&N filters or some kind of cold air.

Just let me know.

I know what you are talking about, I too come from the C5 600rwhp family. It drives me crazy watching all of these LS3 folks talk about how "fast" their cars can move.

Take a look in the tuning section and you will see some results from the predator.

I'm in the market for a tune or the predator myself (haven't bought either yet.) From what I've read here on this forum, the predator can get most of the hp that custom tunes can get when your car is not heavily modified. Check out the tuning section, there are some dyno graphs in there. The nice thing about the predator is you can flash back to your stock tune yourself if you need to - no need to go back to your tuner... and you can update your tune yourself if you should change anything later.

My 2005 A-4 Z-51 with a LPE and 160 stat did 344.6 in 95 degree weather before a custom tune. After the tune it was 344.7. My custom tune netted pretty much nothing other than lowering fan settings and reducing torque management. So I would think that if you're not in the south where it usually is hot. You may get to 350 with the LPE.

Buddy, sent you a PM

Mike what say you...0hp with a custom tune..strange...... I know your not the tuner but any idea what kind of HP gain you get out of a custom tune..If I spend the money on the tune I really wont have any $$ left for intake etc..so is it still worth a custom tune on 100% stock car...

From Palm Beach originally also. Cooler temps with fans on sooner and a real tune should give you good gains. I baselined at 357 stock with a catback before the good stuff.
