Default Hoosier Tires?

Hey,

Just wanted to know what the difference between the R6 and A6 Hoosier tires are?

And will the Hoosiers make good tires as drag radials for the strip?

Thanks.

Hey,

I have some experience with this since I track my car. They are not good at all for drag racing. The sidewall is ultra stiff for cornering. Drag radials have soft sidewall to give you a bigger footprint. BFG DRs make a good daily driver if you're into drag racing. A6 is more geared toward autocrossing and R6 is more of a road course tire. Though a lot of guys like the A6 better.

For road racing, would it be recommended to throw Hoosiers on all 4 tires? or just the rears?

Thanks.

Who'syourMama and Who'syourdaddy.

Hoosier makes Drag Radials too.

You want the same tire on all four corners.

As are softer rubber use for Auto-cross and very fast road races.

Rs are the middle compound tire for road racing and very very hot days.

These tires should not be driven on the street even though it says DOT on the sidewall.
