Mark, nice seeing you again too. I'll be there on the 12th and I hope to make the Beaver Springs T&T on the 11th to work on my launch (props to the little birdie who's helping me figure it out ).

Congrats to the others with new times!

I think it's a typo. I want third up there, so hopefully he takes out your 7.92 time altogether

Damn, too bad you couldn't have snuck over to the test and tune lanes for a quick pass or two.

I would like to come up and hang out, the Porsche is more of a road course car. AWD makes launching fun though.

A stock C6 finally in the 11s, you had a long run at the top there buddy and you have a strong running and well driven C6

I am surprised a Manual LS3 did it, I thought for sure the A6 would do it long ago, but there must be a lot of TM in the A6 holding them back.

Last Saturday everyone was running terrific times at Englishtown. The air was excellent & nice and cold in the 40's all day. Plus even though a little windy it was sunny so the track did heat up. Plus, I've been running the Corvette Challenge since 2002 & the crew there really did the best in a long long time. Now, I ran on my street tires once again & my previous post at # 1144 I bested twice. My best time with a CAI & stat on street tires@ 24 psi was :
---- 60' ....1.941
-----330....5.356
---- 1/8....8.114
-----mph...89.25
----1000'...10.474
----1/4 ...12.449 @ 114.34 mph.

attached are both tickets that I turned better than my time a year ago. I hope to get some DR's and maybe improve those 60 footers.

And C5pilot was really knock knocking on that door # 11.

Ok, so I have the list in an Excel sheet sortable by the following columns:

Class - Stock, Bolt On, Internal Engine, Forced Induction
ET - The 1/4 Mile times
MPH - The 1/4 Mile MPH
Driver - The Driver
Year - Years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008
Tranny - A4, A6, M6
Package - Z51, F55, 3.15, NPP, 2.73
Mods - The modifications done to the car
Posting - If there was a posting listed which one it is.

So with this you can compare the fastest M6s, or 08s, or whatever criteria you want.

I could also build it to automatically make a link to the posting just by entering the posting number... that might be really helpful.

Hopefully this link will work...
http://pilampsualumni.com/racing/C6 List.xls

P.S. I took the liberty of correcting Tommy D's posting with my correct stock time. He put in the older posted time.

lol ok. AndrewZPSU's personal list it is... for now! :P

I did it because he wrote down the correct positing #, but the wrong time associated with that posting. No biggie.

I don't want to update the list, too much hassle. I just wanted to provide a tool for Tommy and others for both comparison and updates sake. If Tommy chooses to update the excel sheet and post it with his updates, that would be cool.

On a little side note... I think the forum is getting a little split whether we should have an LS2 and LS3 list... this would make splitting them as simple as selecting custom and putting "less than" "2008" to grab all the LS2s...

But as I said, it is a tool for Tommy to use, update, and share as he pleases. Hopefully I'm making atleast one person's job easier.

'S' mode only...I've never tried it in 'D' because it clearly feels like it shifts more aggressively/runs better in sport mode. I was going to experiment with using 'D' last December in order to maybe 'soften' it a little when I was having traction problems breaking the stock tires loose on the 1-2 shift but never got around to it.

Yes I do know if it is true LOL and I can assure you that it is not entirely true. Though it is partially true, in 'D' mode it will start in 1st.
In full automatic mode (meaning, if you have not yet 'armed' or touched the paddles) the car will start off in 1st gear whether it be in 'D' or 'S'. The only time the car will start off in 2nd is when you're in paddles mode and come to a total stop, the trans automatically downshifts through the gears and stops at 2nd instead of 1st. You can then of course just paddle it down to 1st manually if need be.
This is all assuming that the transmission is in proper working order.

Maybe ,but, we'll be in Florida for Goofy & Tinker Bell's wedding! Got to wait until the 26th. Hope to try out those DR's & see if it makes any difference.

I find in "D" mode with stock tune, its only revs up to around 5800 rpm before it shifts to the next higher gear, whereas in "S" mode it shifts near or at redline (6500-6600).

I also WOT it some in "D" mode on the way to the track for that "adaptive" learning that supposedly exists to make the "S" shifts better.

Hey guys and gals this is my first post. I just bought an 08 Used with 5000 miles from a lady owner. Car was babied and bone bone bone stock. Im curious to know should I get Dynoed first then head to the track before I start fooling around with the mods, and Corsa or Borla Pipes which are better and add more performance. Ill be posting times either this Wednesday or the following. Thanks.

First off it is your car, you do whatever you want. If your goal is to get on the "bone stock" list... let me be the first to tell you you probably shouldn't even take it to the dyno lol.

Also, the addition of a catback, while not adding much power, will take you out of the "bone stock" category. So if you are going for a record in there you'll want to wait.
