Didn't realize that making a new thread on my last outing and my best E.T. would pose any problems. I thought the forum members would be interested. The reason I didn't update my standings is because I have a problem posting these slips. I relly on friends on this forum to do that for me. I'm going to be running my car next week and I'll post my new times if they improve over my Friday night times of 11.04@123.47...and if they don't improve...I'll send in my 11.04 Slip.

Not posing any problems at all, I'm sure everyone (myself included) do in fact welcome it.
But my point was, if it's truly that unimportant for one to post a slip showing only a .04 improvement (though it really is still quite important as any low 11 second pass is an accomplishment) then I might assume that making any posts about said pass would also be just as unimportant.
I've done the same thing in the past, posting neither a time slip nor making a new thread about a small gain in ET so I see where you're coming from but if I'm going through the effort of making a new thread then you can rest assured that I'm going to show the time slip as well.

That explains a lot and is perfectly understandable, you don't want to keep bothering people to scan/post slips every time the car drops a tenth or two (unless it's a drop from an 11.0 to a 10.9 ) so please forgive my little jabs above LOL.
I don't have a scanner either so I too either have to bother friends to scan my slips or take a crappy photo of it with my digital camera.
I have a feeling that we'll be seeing some 'new best' posts from you real soon.

Frank "Evilways" warming up for another 11 second pass

Please see page 1 post # 6 for instructions & rules. In order to be placed on the list I need a complete timeslip & completed template in your post per the example.

THE LIST

Regarding correction factors:
Times are received from all over the country and are not corrected. Because track and weather conditions vary, this list ranking does not, and can not, identify the fastest cars or drivers in any particular order. It only lists the recorded times, regardless of conditions, in order from quickest to slowest. In cases where ET is the same, the higher MPH determines list order. The bold numbers refer to the post number utilized to report the elapsed times in this thread.

Thanks Tommy!!! I think Mike will be joining me soon, as will Dicky as soon as he gets his trans tune worked out.

Can you believe I squeaked a 1.49 out of that old clutch on the same night? Nipped the limiter costing me the run. Actually I got 1.5's in every run that night. Matter of fact this was a hot lap now that I think of it.

FYI I've got 4:10's now if you want to edit it next time around. Believe it or not, I've noticed a difference, it's easier to launch with the 4:10's!

Joe

I just read you PB post..... That run should have done it but with a M6 you have to be in the "zone" on every shift. The hot lap had to nail it as most of the time that second run is faster.

Most of us A4 & A6 guys forget that in order to pump out consistent times you have be "ON" each and every run .....which is not a easy thing to do.

You need to have that clutch bronzed when it eventually dies

fixed 4.10 added

You said it correctly, when I'm racing I get into a "zone", I don't think directly about letting the clutch out, flooring it, when to start all that process to get a .0xx light (which I can do, check out the slips where Rob and I were racing), how to grip the shifter, how to make sure I don't blow third..it's like typing or 10-keying, i don't need to think about it and in fact if I think I'll mess it up.

I saw that 1.49 on the board and thought this is it...and right then I felt the rev limiter in first blowing the run. I was paying attention to the board and not my ears!

And yes, that is one great clutch, worthy of bronzing or something!

New hoosiers, skinnies, and a Yank 3600 combined for a new PB. Still looking for some really good air to complement the changes.

9. Modifications if any: tune, complete Z06 exhaust system, 3600 Yank converter, Vararam, skinnies, ptb
10. Dyno numbers if you have them. The only numbers that matter are on timeslips.

^^nice run Hoxxoh! Are you running skinnies? The skinnies, some good weather, some hard launches and a bit of luck got me my 10 sec slip after being stuck at 11.2 for two years.

Yep! GTO spares with M&H rubber. Great DA here is anything under 1000'. A couple of us are planning a trip to Sacramento and crossing fingers for some negative.

Just came back from Palm Beach International Raceway. Could not better my E.T. from 12/10. Since my E.T. from that date was never officially posted with the actual time slip...I'm doing it now. Todays racing was probably the last racing I'll do before next year. Joe G will be posting my slip..but here are the results.
60'...1.553
330...4.544
1/8...7.053
mph...97.67
1000...9.216
1/4...11.04
mph...123.47
I was hoping for that 10 second slip this year..but it didn't come. My car is a ls3 a6 bolt-on only. All my mods are listed in my profile and in the bolt-on section of this c6 1/4 mile list. Thanks everyone for all your support and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Mike

What stall converter do you have? Your 60ft is great then the car falls off. What have the gears and converter done to the daily drivability?

Wow! Great run and launch. Hopefully the 10's come soon for you. Maybe replacing the narrow body could help. JK
