If I can post the slip can anything be figured from the mid times and/or speeds?
Yes sir. If you routinely hit 102mph in the 1/8 and then all of a sudden trap 102mph in the 1/8th and 142 on the big end. . . something is obviously wrong the timing equipment OR you added a 100shot and didn't spray it until you passed the 1/8 mile mark
Ok. Good to know for sure. CF is driving me nuts tonight. I will run the car with tires and a few "improvements" in a few weeks and if its not in the 10"s I'll see if it can do 142mph off a cliff.
thanks for the education. Still trying to learn the 1/4 mile stuff.
No problem, happy to help. You typically see back half (660'-1320') gains of about 24-30mph, depending on the gearing of the car. I routinely see 102mph in the 1/8 and 129 on the big end whereas Joe sees <100mph in the 1/8 but 128 on the big end due to his different rear end gear ratio.

Good stuff to know. I need to learn these things as I practice more. My car tends to pull really hard at the top, I just have to learn to get off the line better. Practice, Practice. Sucks cause we have a short season here.
I once back half ed 36 MPH.. I ran 131mph in the 1/8 and 167mph in 1/4. Thats the fastest mph Ive ever ran It definitely pinned u back. My car was over 3800 pounds on a 295 DR.
Thanks. Hoping for much better with additions and move from 19 to 17 inch tires..
With 580 rwhp. you will be fine running the NTO5R's 345/30/19's down to 15 PSI.. You will hook.. and not need to bother buying or changing wheels, and tires as long as you do a good burn out..

Can't run those. Mine is a narrow body. I tried the 305 19 MT's and they didn't work well for me. I sold them and bought 275/40/17 and C5 wheels to try.

Ahh... Just curious how low you ran the PSI.. Do u have line locks? I installed the cartek linelocks.. They are so nice, and simple.. here's the link in case.. Saves allot of wear and tear.. http://www.cartekracing.com/Products...s/LineLock.htm

Actually the 17 inch tire will allow you to launch better and it is easier on the suspension because you have more sidewall
As for the time slip sometimes just before major racing events the track recalibrates the timing clocks and you get something like this
That was back in 2007 with stock rubber and a CAI spinning through first. Over the years I imagine we all get one or two that will make you wonder
Your car sounds like a real monster and there is nothing like some seat time to work out the kinks. My suggestion would be to attend a track rental with a few of your racing buddies.
good luck

Tried them down to 20psi. I think its the lack of sidewall but for some reason I couldn't get them to hook well. I had someone who wanted to buy them so the decision to try 17's was easy.
I have the same line lock.

Thanks. I agree that seat time is key. A lot of driver error going on in my runs.

Nice,, just an FYI I didn't even start to get traction until I dropped down to 16 PSI.. Now I'm running 15 PSI and that seems to be the magic number.. Be nice to see you hook with your set up.. You got the cage so your set...

Good to know. I'll try as low as I have to this time. Next week I'm trying a 3.25 pulley and changing injectors and that will be it for now. Probably see around 600hp. Plenty.
I don't have a cage, just a roll bar. Luckily they don't enforce the rules here unless a sanctioned event is happening.
