Bump me up the times a bit. This is my last time I'm running with street tires. Almost cracked 10s on them. I know an easy 10 is obtainable with an actual tire (e.g. DR or R compound tire). Still a fun run for me.

Well took the car back to the track today. Took literally every single little thing I could off the car down to the bare floor and took off my lip kit/spoiler. Fastest I could get it to go was a 10.52@127 on a 1.39x 60ft. So decided to see what a 120lb lighter driver swap would do and these were the results with LS3Chris driving.

Congratulations on setting the LS3 bolt on record.

Did you weigh the car after the weight reductions?

What made you remove the rear sway bar?

Your 60 foot is the key to great times. Congrats again.

Great time You think David would let you use his GTO spares after you set the bolt on record in his car.

The scales were closed. Id figure it weighed in around 2930 or so. 3010 is what it weighed with just removing the passenger seat and using my racing seat. Took off a lot of little things. All the carpet, windshield wipers, axle back, ac belt, misc trim, etc. i was going to take the door panles and center console out but the door panels and me dont quite get along too well.

My only reasoning for removing the rear sway bar was weight.

I offered up my seat to chris too lol. Too bad the track was having issues before he could make a pass on the skinnies.

Congrats, David! Only wish I could have been there to document the occasion and cheerlead from the pits.

Every time I watch you run it makes me wonder why I bought a Z06 instead of a base A6 C6. :-p

You going out to the New Year's drags?

Thank you sir! It's a base c6 (non z51), stock gearing and a McLeod RXT clutch. 👍🏽

I thought so, even more impressive 60 foot and time given that you don't have the benefit of the 2.97 first or 4.10's or even skinnies.

Great driving - quite an accomplishment!!!

Wow!!! Both of those passes by both cars are amazing. Congrats for absolutely smashing that record David. I'd be elated just with the pass where you were doing the driving.

Wish I could be there for the New Year bash and meet up with you guys. It looks like stellar air all week. Just not enough time in my schedule this week.
