I can see that Jeff is paying attention to the details and he will see even better times, weight even in the tank and launch RPM makes a big difference

i have ran out just before the shut down area at the return road entrance i see the weather on the 3rd and the 6th were around the same temp the difference was 1/2 tank vs 1/4 tank 1200 rpm launch vs 1800 rpm launch
the better 60 ft from the higher launch and weight reduction of fuel maybe a couple ft of da better dew point less humidity 50-80 lbs of less fuel all came together

Jeff: Congrats on a great run....Your car looked great. You think the clay bar and wax was the determining factor.....It was far from the coldest evening but the low humidity was certainely a factor. Your launching looked great. Wish I could say the same for my launches last night.

I can tell you, that 1/4 mile is a heck of a long walk carrying a 5 gallon can because the tank you borrowed in the pits to bail out your buddy doesn't have a top and you don't want to slosh gas into your own car which is a stick shift and has no seat and thus no good way to hold an open can of gas...

The third was spitting rain, I got there at 8 and nobody ran any passes after that, well just a few in between sprinkles. It was very humid on the 3rd and more dry than I've ever seen it last night.

Had I been watching the weather I would have gone up last night too. This time of year my top is down, seat in and street tires for the rest of the summer. Fully didn't expect last night's weather.

One of these days I am going to run mine down too I always bring some extra fuel but then I think about burning up the fuel pump in the tank and how hard it was shoe horning the Z06 exhaust around that big ole A4

We are lucky at PBIR, they have credit card pumps at the track with 93 or 100.

Joe

Atco is in the middle of no where nothing around but farm land and woods for miles. Imagine, a part of Jersey that does not have homes all over and almost on top of one another

That one sunoco station makes a bundle when we all leave the track.
Most of us fill up to be on the safe side because you never know what surprises await on the turnpike.

lol I know I use to run on fumes but running a BAP I'd rather error on the side of caution

Thanks for all the posts and the record keeping by Tommy D. The home computer was locking up and I just got it fixed, so I'll answer all your comments.
Joe, I see I'm number 5 pal.

That and a lot of good advice from you, Joe and Mike. Plus some great wrench turning at HP Sales. The car was absolutely flying that night. It never ran that good.

Your worst run was still faster than my best Mike. You just had some bad luck.

If you are referring to the Lone Star Corvette Club Classic autoX last year I was there running same car different tires different TC otherwise same mods. Was hoping to get another run tonight with less wind but drizzle kept the track closed.

Did an A6 to A4 conversion last year. So it is a 2008 LS3 with an A4 transmission.

Recommendation by Anthony at LG Motor Sports to go with RPM Transmissions. Researched RPM good positive feedback so decided to go with the recommendation to convert to the A4 since RPM did not offer the A6.
