I have Yellow Tops in my Vette and Acura as well, but he still needs to find what is draining the battery.
I agree and am going to see what happens with the existing battery first. If it drains in the next 3/4 days I need to have the battery tested to see if it is bad, if the battery is good then the car is going back to the dealer, since it is still under warranty.

True. I know over the last few years, there have been tons of threads published dealing with the C6 DBS - everything from bad ground problems, to simple things like not having the car shut-down properly. Gremlins abound, so I would suggest you use the "search" function on the forum for a more thorough research of the topic - lots of good suggestions/culprits indentified in the past...some good places to start looking.
Just checked online and AutoZone has it for $189.99.
Thanks
If you get the yellow top you might want to add PipeDreams (vendor here) battery cover. I got a black colored one myself.
but he still needs to find what is draining the battery.
I found out what was draining my '07's battery. The C6 itself. It always has some very minor drain (IMO, the Priority Start only compounds that) going on and the culprit was that MY crappy oem battery was not able to handle it. Optima Yellow Top solved that and have not had a problem ever since. Plus the added benefit is that it can be deeply discharged and recharged without giving up its high starting ability.
charging a dead battery is not going to work. The ability for a recharged battery to hold a charge is greatly decreased after a dep charge is done. Before you do anything--GET a NEW battery.
Did the "Flash" in August as a precaution. If the priority start kicks in I'm going to have to check the battery, I just looked and the battery was replaced in Aug. 07 because it had gone dead on me a few times. The dealer said it had a dead cell back then. A battery should last more than 17 months. Anyone one know if the battery would be under warranty??
If the battery was replaced under warranty will only have the remainder of the 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty. So if your car is over 36 months old or over 36,000 miles, there is no battery warranty.
However, if you paid of the battery 17 months ago, AC/Declo may warranty the battery if defective.
You may not have a defective battery. Chances are, there is something onboard the vehicle that is draining the battery. Until you find and fix the root cause, everything else you do is just a "cover up".

The car is still under the factory warrany, so maybe the battery replacement is covered again.
My oem battery was covered under warranty for full replacemen, but I didnt want another one of the same. So I passed on the oem. I bought and DIY installed the Yellow Top. Peace of Mind...Priceless
Still curious to know what is causing your drain? As was stated in an earlier post, is your FOB close to the car as the car will search for the FOB to communicate and that will cause a drain on the battery.
We had a problem with our police cars, when the car was in a poor radio reception area the police radio would go into scan mode to detect a signal, by doing that it drained the battery.

Good luck on the fix and keep us informed.
The car is parked in a separate garage 200 ft from the FOB, so tha tshouldn't be a problem.
