Well, you said "intake" so I think you mean more than just a CAI. So, here's mine so far; a VaraRam, a modified stock MAF, a FAST manifold, a 160 thermostat, and re-tune your computer. And, although I haven't done it, yet, you might also consider later on porting the throttle body and the FAST, although I'm not convinced it's worth the money until you are going to do more mods. Good luck and have fun!

USMC.... by the Callaway Honker deatails were recently posted on the following thread by foum member

Callaway Air Intake

Increases airflow by 34 percent. Adds 12 bhp in stock LS2's.

The Honker C6 provides reduced airpath restriction, accesses cooler air from outside of the engine compartment, and locates the air entry at a higher-than-ambient pressure area (relative to vehicle speed) to generate increased horsepower.

• Smooth internal surface and CAD-designed contours engineered to maximize laminar flow.
• Rigid filter element base ingests cooler, denser inlet air from outside of engine compartment.
• Easy-to-install duct attaches to OEM mounting locations at top of radiator support.
• OEM-grade polymer remains unaffected by severe under-hood temperature excursions.
• Low-restriction K&N filter element is washable and reusable for reliable service.
• Supports additional engine and vehicle modifications.
• Works with all OEM engine management sensors.
• Premium quality hardware used throughout for extended durability.

Dyno testing verified the airflow test results, indicating an increase of 12 bhp on an otherwise stock LS2! At the dragstrip, simply bolting a Honker into a stock 2005 coupe dropped its 1/4-mile ET by three full tenths and increased top speed by 2 mph!

The Honker C6 System includes CAD-designed air inlet duct, low restriction, washable and reusable K&N air filter element, rigid filter element housing, comprehensive installation instructions, and all required hardware for easy installation.

A fellow Corvette owner installed a honker on his already stout LS2 and picked up 15rwhp at the wheel. Keep in mind this car had EVERYTHING modded already before the CAI.

Please let me know if you're interested.

I recently went through the same decision making process. I ended up choosing the Vortex. They are probably all good though (the true CAI). See my recent post below in regards to how I made my decision.

There are several good CAI's, just make sure you get a true 'bottom feeder' to draw cool air in from below. That said, I'm quite pleased with the Lingenfelter intake. You can't do any better IMHO.

If I have it right I believe the LGLT's were your second mod w stingers.
getting rid of the accordion and removal of the MAF SCREEN was also

- Vararam
- C5 Clutch Spring
- Stingers
- Multiple Shifters....Finally satisfied with MGW
- 160 Thermo
- Predator Tune
- LG Pros
- Predator "Header Tune"
- Lowered on stock Bolts

The car is going in hopefully next week for Ported Intake and TB, Harland Sharp 1.8 Rockers, and a full dyno tune. I'm hoping for 410+ to the wheels. I considered going with the Fast intake and still might....We'll see.

Default I see your running the TB SPACER

I know when i got my TB & ointake ported my tuner insisted that I
remove the TB SPACER. He never really explained the logic in removing it. When we did the ported fast he said no again to the spacer. Anyway
you have a worthy goal of 410. Those 1.8 rockers will help. Spin says they are worth 20hp. Good luck on the dyno. Leon

Hi Ben,
Another approach:
Callaway Honker.

Xcelerator from MTI. A true closed sytem cold air intake (similar to the Callaway Honker). Available with optional pre-cut/pre-riveted shroud and comes with Green Filter Co. filter. LS3 version shown.
