I am sure my RR coilovers dont help nor does my lack of ability to shift fast

That being said they do help on RR track. I ran times at VIR in the 2:08 region which I believe is faster than NASCAR testing times. I also hit 170mph on the back straight and had no issues hanging with the new ZR1....

Very good times! especially with that 60 ft!
Very nice thanks you.

Mike, he is just talking smack with you. Undertaker isnt the kind of guy to beat around the bush with things. He tells it like it is.

He is very knowledgeable on the subject of cars and I do know of one run he did that you may be interested in though. He was at the track once with what is easliy a 9 sec car that has been proven time and time again and with only 7 cyliders firing, he still ran a 11.1. His car is 750rwhp with a forged motor, heads, cam, and big boost. It will take most people a long time to get to that level and I doubt anything less than 40k in mods will touch that car.

I would trade.

Understand that on the forum people communicate without seeing faces and gestures. Its easy to misinterpret things and I doubt anyone thinks you are new at cars or mods. They just talk smack for fun. When I get to talking about 4.10's I do it just to have an argument. Me and C6DVL would get into it ovber 3.90's vs 4.10's while other people and I would be laughing about the silly things that get typed. The more it seems to be an issue with the guy I';m talking to, the more I get into the 4.10's rock thing. Its a variable tool and cant be used as a one size fits all gear. Its a joke. I know what gets said when people think I am serious, the truth is I wish I had 3.90's now that I want to track the car.

You may not have been on the forum long enough to know what I am talking about with the 4.10 wars but its an inside joke around here with our circle of friends. Dont take it so serious. I'm sure your car will be fast one day real fast. It takes time to get things to work together right and you cant expect to get it all overnight. You are generally liked around here and you cant think people are upset especially since you must be aware that they know you know what youre talking about. One day you might be a tuner on this board and they will come to you for FAST installs and motor build-ups. They will be loyal then when they see what you can do for them.

um, actually that was my other car Guy.

that was the black road race 99 coupe (the one with no plates) with the 427 C5R, LS7 heads, jesel valvetrain, setup for nitrous but with no system on it. M12 ratios with 3.42's in the rear on Z springs/shocks with T1 sways. Realized number 2 was just dangling when I had to drop the header the next day to pry the disc of the clutch off the floating plate for the twin disc, it just didn't have enough miles on it for drag strip passes and burnouts using 3 pedals vs. a linelock which I didn't have time nor the energy to search out the metric fittings for.

The blue car has the black car hands down, yet it hasn't seen the track, i was actually bitching and moaning about how the black car didn't feel fast, even on 8 it doesn't feel fast to me.

um, I don't need to PM buddy. I'll call it in the open, a grand, 2 grand, hell wanna run for registrations? best of 3? 5? my car is free and clear I could use a daily driver. I'm far from stock with a bottle. and if I'm goin for registrations hell I'm turning the thing back to kill mode. You really wanna see if I just run my mouth?

My tow rig has more power than you, my road race car has more power, my old tow rig has more, my old vette had more power, you'd think it safe to assume my big power car has ALOT more than you...

oh wait, you ready for the best part? I'm gonna do it with stock gears and 243 casting unported heads! I can smell the fear already...

Go for it Mike. Just get a 300 wet shot and finish him. Your car was spinning the tires in 3 gears with no heads or cam. Its a freak. You even have 4.10's.

Thanks,

The combustion chamber on the 225 is setup for the 4" bore of the LS2. The 215 is slightly over 3.9". The 215, 225 and 235 all
require roller rockers. In my case, I used the Harland Sharps.

I've personally seen it successfully done utilizing stock/OEM rockers so it may not actually be required.

I'd agree with their recommendation if it were my own vehicle though.

of course if the motor is getting a real beat down I like jesel's and solids, but I'm not afraid to roll up my sleeves and relash em when necessary.

Yes, I know that most people that have these heads will use a good aftermarket rocker with them.
Aftermarket rockers do have some real benefits (as well as some disadvantages) to them.
Of course the factory/stock ones have plenty of benefits (other than just a nice cost savings) to them as well.
