Some facts here:
I run 18" CCW SP 500'S W/ NITTO 275/35/18 EVERY DAY.
My Gto Spares with 1-1/2" aluminum spacer/adapters and 26 x 4.5 x 17 M&H front runners weigh 24lbs less per side than the CCW setup. And with the adapters dont stick in and look perfect. FWIW
I mostly race on "closed streets" so I dont have track results but the weight is accurate from my garage scale.
don't think it's possible, even w/ the spacers as the offset is greater than that...
True, Z51 and later F55 cars would need a dangerous amount of spacer/adaptor to be able to use these things, doing that could potentially damage the hubs/bearings somehow as well I'd bet.

18" stock wheel and tire weighs about 56lbs per side=112lbs
The stock/OEM fronts weigh a little less than that actually, someone once calculated them out to only about 49 pounds per wheel/tire combination, I'd also heard the number 51 mentioned once.
Still a nice savings though.
I thought Bogart made rims to spec??? I got my '03 Cobras skinnies from them, ordered to fit. I don't see why they couldn't (or wouldn't but there not cheap) make a set of rims for C6's

They do make 17" skinnies, I've seen them. They're pretty light too though not really recommended for any kind of street duty so driving to the track on them might not be an option.
gto aluminum spare wheel with a front runner tire would be about 28lbs per side=56lbs
18" stock wheel and tire weighs about 56lbs per side=112lbs
so savings of like 56lbs...not bad in my opinion
Not bad at all! It is amazing what you can learn on these forums.
Anyways, the GTO spare wheel actually weighs only 13.8 lbs. This in fact weighs 3.5 lbs less than the far more expensive CCW front skinny wheel at 17.3 lbs!! The M&H 17 x 5 front drag radials weigh about 17.2 lbs which totals 30 lbs. Thats about 20 lbs savings per side (stock wheel/runflat weighs 50 lbs) and looks like about a - .08 to .10 in ET savings.
If you are willing to risk mixing Drag Radials in back and bias ply in front,(which I would not) the M&H 17 x 4.5 front bias ply tire only weighs 10.3 lbs which would then total 24 lbs!! If you got ET Streets in back, then you are A-OK in bias ply with the front runners.
