Default So I need

to change my header order to one with the Z-06 mid pipe to fit the Stock Z-06 cat back?
I ordered AR's 1 7/8 with 3 by 3 x pipe?

Hi Buddy
You need a 3" outlet midpipe in order to run any exhaust meant for a C6 Z06. Or you can run regular C6 NPP exhaust if you want the bimodal action and have a 2.5" outlet midpipe.

My car ran Kooks 1 3/4" headers with a 3 X 2.5" catted midpipe (that is what all C6s use). When I decided to get rid of my C6 GHL exhaust and get some C6 Z06 exhaust instead I got a 3X3 catted midpipe and sold the 3X2.5" one here on the forums. The headers remain the same...

Still very curious to see how the switch over to 1 7/8" headers affects your car. Hopefully you'll be using the same dyno so we can have a better basis for comparison?

Same dyno for sure for header comparisons but i may get another dyno, a different one that adjusts for gears.* This one says I gained only 36 pounds of rwtq and less than 100 rwhp. When the kit is making all it should be. Serious fast! Serious the gears cost me about 65 rwhp. Cause I know I making at least what you are. around 580-600
Yours maybe a little generous Mine for sure is shorting me!I thought I had the new headers ordered right being AR* maybe it's different so I 'll call Andy in the morning to be sure. So your running a stock Z cat back?

Sure am!

I had GHLs before; they droned too much... Got Corsa Sports; too heavy... Settled for the C6 Z06 system. That plus my catted 1 3/4" Kooks and the ported TB and intake manifold is all I had for that 598whp / 518wtq pull...
I'd find a different dyno too I guess, although be aware that any dyno can be made to read whatever you want it to read; with the "right" correction factors I have seen bolt on LS2 cars post 460HP at the wheels
That is why every time I take my car to the dyno I have two questions to the operator: "What does a stock C6 normally baseline on your dyno" and "What does a stock C6 Z06 normally baseline on your dyno?".
Cartek tells me a stock Z06 will baseline around 450WHP on the dyno used to tune my car... That's not too generous Then again, I am running 10.5+ PSI at redline... That's a lot of boost for a car with headers!
I'm looking forward to seeing some more ego-stroking numbers from your car, but you and I know its ridiculously fast being a force fed LS3, and ultimately that is all that matters... Dyno Numbers are just that... Numbers
