Sport and Touring have the same mufflers and tips. The touring part is their X-pipe that has resonators. The Xtreams have smaller rounder mufflers.

I've had the extreme cat back for about 18 months. Everybody tells me they sound great. No body has ever driven my car so I only hear them from drivers seat. Absolutly no droon or at cruising speeds. Quiet as a church mouse untill you step on it. Slight burble on decel, doesn't bother me but some don't like it. I've read that it can be mostly tuned out with HP or the like.
Hope this helps with your decision.
Best of luck to you

I thought that was the touring rather than sport. I have sport and they didn't come with the H pipe. I love my sport but I've never heard extreme. Sports are also pretty tame until you get on it.

I agree. When you buy the Sport kit you get axle back only, the Touring adds the H-pipe.

The "SPORTS" for the "AUTO" and the manual are different. The "TOURING" have different "Resonators".......

Black is right. This is the Sport Pkg for the A6. The Touring set adds two more small resonator type cans in place of the two small straight pipes that are in front of the H-pipe. Thats why Corsa sells those pieces as a transition kit for those who do not like the sound of the Sport Pkg on their A6. The X-pipe that everyone is talking about is for the guys who want to equalize pressure and cut down on the decel burbling on the Mnl's. However, some A6 guys have installed the Sport mufflers and X-pipe and are satisfied with the sound -vs- drone. Both the Sports and Touring use the same mufflers (#14169). The Xtremes are a different muffler design, smaller, and marked Xtremes. However, Corsa will not indicate a 'no drone' guarantee for them when installed on the A6.

Sound quality is very subjective. I suggest you try to find a local Corvette club or Vette 'gathering' where you could hear some different systems firsthand to determine which you like best. Be mindful of other modifications or any future mods you may do. I have the Corsa Sport exhaust behind LG Pro headers, a non-stock engine and the car sounds awesome. The same exhaust, however, would sound totally different on a stock setup.

Check out the Corsa website - http://www.corsaperf.com/corsaSoundDisplay.aspx?tit1=10. I have the Corsa Sports with an A6 and no drone. Exhuast sound is very subjective. I would listen and ride in other members' cars prior to purchasing an aftermarket exhaust system.

I noticed if you look at the pictures on the website there aren't any that look like the photo that was posted by BlackZ51Vett - the H-pipes do not have the integrated "cherry bomb" mufflers. What's going on with that? Also, does anyone know if the 2.5" A6 system would bolt up to stock LS7 manifold and cats?

Corsa said they improved the muffler design appriox. 6 months ago to work for both the M6 and A6 (without the H-pipe). I think you have to install an adapter from 3" down to 2.5" to make it fit.

With my current exhaust adventure I have gotten to the point that I have Corsa's systems memorized. So, here is the deal...and a link so you can see.

First off the pic your see above IS THE A6 ONLY system...yes, I know that there is no picture of it when you look at this page:

http://www.corsaperf.com/corsaProduc...x?id=64&type=1

This is a mistake...but you look here (at the detailed installation instructions you can see it very clearly). Look at the instructions for the M6/A4 and the A6...different H-pipes. They are still Human after all.

http://www.corsaperf.com/CorsaPdfDisplay.aspx

My guess is this...Corsa ran into an issue of Drone with the range that the A6 cars normally run at. So they made this H-pipe with resonators that is "Tuned" for this purpose. I have one on my M6 (long story...do a search if you like) and I have found that it does change the sound a little...seems just a touch deeper, still about as loud at idle(which was my original issue) but I noted that it does not Pop/Bark at decel like it did when I had the OEM X-pipe on it. Yes, its strange.

So, Corsa's Touring Set-up only is the small mufflers (I believe they are not resonators but actual mufflers...maybe after the design of the larger rear mufflers or maybe have packing I am not sure) that attached very close to the front of the car.

This system is only for 2.5" pipe (OEM Size) and not the Z06 that runs 3"...so they will not fit. Corsa makes a System just for the Z06 and now ZR-1 that is 3" and come with 4" tips (Quads) and not the 3.5" (Quads) the C6 coupe gets...or the single 4" tips. They also make an 3" X-pipe for the Z06/ZR-1 (but don't they come with X-pipes if they are 08'+???)

Corsa also makes a 2.5" to 3" X-pipe if someone that has a "Regular" C6 wants to use the larger 3" Z06 mufflers.

Check the links above...but I am right on this...like i said I have their systems memorized by now. Hope this helps.
