Default approaching car will not open

Have FOB in hand. Doors will not open

Not even pressing the unlock button.

Can walk all around the car with FOB in hand -- Nothing
finally it will open but time varies

Car is an 06 and done this since new. Replaced both FOB batteries
still does it.

Chevy dealer has no clue why. and the car has done it for them.

Other seen this or is it just this car

Also have gotten in the car, it starts but says no fob detected at times

gotten so dont drive the car too far, or within a reasonable towing
distance

That sucks. another guy posted up not to long about his navi interfearing with his fob. Do you have any additional appliances in your car that could cause this. maybe you need a new fob or the unit in the car that detects it.

dont have a navigation system either factory or hand held.

When happened sometimes didnt even have my cell phone with
me. Since its been so intermittent, hard to take to the dealer.

Questioned two dealers, both are clueless. Like said that time
it did at the dealer, we just kept walking around and
finally worked.

That is the one feature not at all crazy about on the C6. If
they would go back to a key both in door and starter. Would
trade this one in a heartbeat.

Did they try reprograming the FOBs to make sure everything syncs up? Also, might check the FOB options that are set.

Most people have no issue

Mine Fob not work one time

I take car to dealer and dealer reprogram fob

Both Fob now work on car

Have not had problem since

One time even I swimming go with fob in pocket

Fob work even wet

Suggest you take car to other dealer

I dont know what has been done. Vettes been in the shop so much.

When the FOB acted up for the service tech, was in for a fluid
problem in the rear axle. Had the car for several days. When
picked it up, no service ticket was written. They may have looked
into the problem while replacing the trunk lid but again no service
ticket.

did the dealer replace the RCDLR module? It may be defective. The fob sends signals to it to lock and unlock as well as receive tire pressure reading from your monitors.

Does this happen when the car is in one particular place? We have a spot here in town where there are several Pager and Cellphone towers near the mall and several cars have problems. The FOB is a 300 +/- Mhz device and might be experiencing interference. When they tow the car to the shop it works normally.
Just a thought.
