Just pulled out a LUK "Gold" clutch and pressure plate setup after 2000 miles from my heads/cammed 05' coupe. (see SIG below). The setup apparently couldn't handle the power and was totally trashed. It had replaced the stock unit that never slipped. I just installed a Fidanza carbon ceramic setup with a REALLY heavy pedal.. No slip but I have a terrible VIBRATION coming up thru the shifter at WOT. It peaks at about 4500 and slowly subsides as the RPMs rise. Any thoughts on how to get rid of the vibration? My mechanic wants to put a new shifter in. Thanx.
My Luk Pro Gold wasn't holding up to only 400rwhp, after 7k miles the flywheel insert was warped...I assume you're still using the fidanza flywheel, did you have to replace yours? Are you using the stage 4.3 clutch? The vibration is probably from it being out of balance...just curious, did you notice any visual difference or feel between the gold and your stock one?

Thanx for the reply. I was told that I could use the aluminum flywheel that came with the LUK setup so I did. I'm really not sure what FIDANZA parts I'm using. I just told ZIP products to send me something that will hold the power. This car doesn't have a slight vibration, it has a vibration that shakes the whole car. If I have to do this a THIRD time and put in stock parts, I may just trade it in.
