I have heard about temperature from headers being too hot for OE spark plus wires. What is a good plug wire that I can use to completely eliminate this problem. Completly leiminate..
Heat isn't the problem, stock wires have heat shields. The problem is with some headers the stock wires are too close to the headers. If so, use the MSD's as you can bend them at the top of the plug to gain clearance.
I have ARH style headers and Im running the stock GM Red wires with shields. Im running Magnacores on my C5 ZO6 with Stainless Works headers and stock shields. I have NOT had any heat or burnt wires on either set of wires. Just make sure that the wire or boots dont contact the header pipe.
If your concerned, run some heat socks and that will eliminate any issues.
I agree, coated headers are really good for eliminating under hood heat and keeping wires cool!
