Default 6 point Roll Bar

with all these fast cars on this site, i ve searched, and cant find anyone running a 6 point roll bar on there c6!

just the 4 point ones.

the closest track goes by IHRA rules and requires a 6 point roll bar for anything faster than a 11.49.

if your close with a 11.4, they give you one warning. after that, your booted.

or are people just finding tracks that dont care?

if you have any info on any tuners/vendors that make any 6-point roll bars please post your info. and if you got one, please post pics!

thanks!

you should only need a 5 point to 10.00, you can buy the pfadt 4 point and add the fifth leg with a swingout or removable

Lingenfelter has a 6-point bar with removable side bars...it's on their web site. A friend of mine (who runs road courses and drag races) had a 6-point roll bar with removable side bars made for his car. Whatever you get it is important that it meets the specs for whatever organization(s) and events you run in.

I'm having a roll bar custom fabricated in a week or so and I think I'll get a better fit having it custom made. For the different groups I run road courses in (time trials mostly), a 6-point roll 'cage' isn't required. I think the 6-point roll bar is only required for racing groups. I haven't decided yet whether to go with a 6-point roll bar with removable side bars or, I may do what my friend did and have a 5-point roll bar made. In addition to the 4-point setup, it has a stout, removable diagonal brace running from the main loop down into the passenger side foot well. I guess I could always add the side bars at a later date. Whichever way I go it will comply with NASA specs.

Here is the 6 pt rollbar set-up from Lingenfelter that has been in my car for 3 years now. I leave the side bars out for street use and only put them in when at the track.
Here's a few photos...

i have a 6 pt roll bar made from chrome moly with swingout/removeable sides...mine was made by wolfe race craft in fort worth texas...even with the extra weight of like 50-60lbs i still cut a 10.81 with 2500DA a month ago...mine is made to where my top still fits in the hatch of the car...the pic above of the ligenfelter one doesn't seem like the top would fit in the hatch...i will get pics soon and post them up or you can call wolfe race craft and see if they can send you the pics of my car since they haven't posted them on their site yet

dsp300c--that's a beautiful job they did to allow you storage of the top. Nice work!

if you ever want a roll bar call dan at wolfe race craft in fort worth, tx...he is very cool...but until then good luck with your track runs and times...you won't last long running just the 1/8th and shutting down...hahahahaha...i tried it...it didn't work...you will want to run the 1/4 and go all out

Technically you just need a 5 point I do believe to do 135 or lower, and or 10.00 I could be wrong, but that is all we needed.

We sell pfadt racings 4 point roll bar, and then add our driverside door bar, and that will cert. the car
