You can run wider wheels/tires without Z06 fenders, but I'm running Z06 rear fenders. One person here on the forum is running the same 335/30/18 Toyo R888 under stock C6 rear fenders, but I think that tire is too wide for his rims (18X11). I think a 315 or 325 (max) is a better fit for an 11 inch rim.

Factory Front Tires:
Width: 7.7", Diameter: 25.7"
Toyo Proxes R1R, 265/35ZR18
Width: 10.6, Diameter: 25.4

Factory Rear Tires:
Width: 9.2", Diameter: 26.9"
Nitto 555R2, 305/35ZR18
Width: 12.28", Diameter: 26.3"

Also worth noting is the fact that this combo is 22 pounds lighter than the factory wheels/tires.

I also experimented with Toyo Proxes R888, front and rear. Traction was equal with the R888s on the back, but they cost more, so I went back to the Nittos. Spinmonster had suggested them first; he knows his tires... At least the rear ones!

R888s up front were EPIC; 1.24G corners... But they simply wore too fast for the kind of driving (3000+ miles a month every month) I do. The R1Rs are 140 threadwear and have more thread depth, so they are a good second best choice... I'm pretty happy with them. Not as competitive at an autocross, but still worlds beyond the grip you could get with any regular street tire.
