Cast wheels are always a bad idea at the track. I'm not talking about your Hot Wheels plastic track.

u know what the sad part is. the fact that ur trying to pick up fight online like a immature teenager.

ur one of those guys who just because u have a corvette u think u r better then everyone else. u have no appreciation or enthusiasm for the automotive industry. ya my car has half the motor and half the price, but u have no right putting it down. just because i have a import doesnt mean im not any more of true car enthusiast as the next gear head. when in actuality my car turns more heads, sounds more exotic, and has longer lasting quality then a corvette.

im not putting down the vette. i love the vette. im picking one up as my next project. thats y im asking questions. since ur not contributing to the original question. please refrain from posting.

"oldmansan" is a nickname I gained when I trounced much younger competitors when I raced mountain bikes in Japan.

I didn't specify the weight of my car.

I don't own a 7.0L Corvette.

I don't drag race.

My "junk" car would own you. Hell, my truck is probably faster.

Troll forever, in the morning you wake up to a 350Z (if you own one).

Learn to spell. Your posts make many assume you're ignorant and uneducated.

You had intelligent responses to your intial post. Your lack of comprehension negated the input of those posts.

I own three vehicles. My Corvette is the only American-made vehicle I own.

It would be a good idea for one of the MODS to close this thread and potentially make it go away. Not quite sure why fastz33, a 350Z owner, is even participating in or starting conversation off point, but I guess everyone needs to do something to kill time.

fast33, please go away.

This all got started because Fastz33 asked about C6 Z06 Wheels and Tires. If you are interested then come to the track and see what everyone is running then try what you think should be the right choice. There are some that run the OEM 18/19 size front and rear.

great write up Spin! thanks

r.hillen- how about 19/19 have u seen any clean setups? i know the 18s have a faster wheels spin due to its smaller diameter. but wouldnt that be a disadvantage for a car that already has so much torque?

Go with the smallest wheel that will clear the largest brakes you intend on using and will accomodate the largest tires you intend to use. Rotational weight is much more important than static weight. It doesn't matter how much torque you have, you still want light wheels and tires for optimum acceleration/decelleration/handling. The further outward the weight is (think tires) the more important it is.
