too bad no one on another corvette forum believes it. they think i have the nitrous on my car and don't think that the right lane was really that bad and that is why i let out it. i know some of them have posted in this thread that are on the other site and if y'all read this, pre-z06 and others were at the track and can attest for the crappy lanes, them shutting down to 1/8 mile then shutting down the track for the day, and that i do not have nitrous on the car. i am just waiting on the video from joe with my 10.67 run so i can post it up. record for me but not a record run yet until i go faster than 10.66. and if forgot you actually were the other car i was racing so you do have the other half of my slip. i completely forgot about that. hahahahahaha. i need to get that from you so i can tape both halves together for 1 complete time slip. so those that are concerned with my half slip i can get a full time slip now. dallas raceway needs to stop being cheap and splitting the slips instead of just giving each of us a whole slip

I'll testify there wasn't a bottle in the car. JamesE, Jgoat, and Louis@LG were also there as witnesses. If it's that big of a deal you can have my half of the slip as it was botched from the clutch sticking anyways, I mean I slowed to watch your time flash up LOL...I knew you were on a good run since we left at roughly the same time and you were a car ahead by the 330. I've seen them do the cut slip thing at other tracks to save paper, especially when not enough people show up for them to break even on operation costs. I'm not complaining when it only costs $20 to run...

yea...i will get my video from joe...ernest with the red z06 needs to post up since he also witnessed the right hand land scariness on the top end...but they think i let out b/c of something else and that it wasn't water on the track or the vht coming off...i heard from 2 track workers it was one of those 2 things before they shut it down to the 1/8 mile and then shut the track down for the night...but what is funny is this i just copied this off of www.dallasraceway.com when they closed on oct 23 2009 and i couldn't goe...proof water does leak from the under the track after it rains there

Do you have a line lock? Car didn't budge during the burnout.
What rpm are you launching at? Didn't look like any clutch slippage, just tire spinning. Usually a recipe for hopping. Any mods to reduce the likelihood of hop?

yea...cartek line lock FTW!!!!! i think it was about 3000-3500 launch...hard to slip this clutch...it is an rps lsx bc2 (billet carbon twin)...haven't had any hopping with this setup launching...i also use bias plys for the rear...

I am thinking of making the haul from OKC for this upcoming Sunday. I have heard from Ernest that the MPH reads low at this track compared to Ennis. Is this true?

I would like to improve upon my 10.84 best and almost 130 mph best.

my buddies mph at dallas raceway was slower by 1.5mph at the 1/4 trap (not the 1/8) as compared to ennis...others have said the same or a bit more...they say their ET's are spot on of what they should be even though the 1/4 mph may be a bit off...but my buddies car is an auto and very consistent...i can't tell with my slips b/c i am a stick shift and very inconsistent...i know my car is capable of 132-133 but i am more worried about my ET as of lately...but i will check it out sunday and look at my mph if i can get another clean pass...hope to see you out there sunday...

From my calculations it's ~4mph, being that I trapped 98mph in the 1/8 at both tracks and then coasted to the 1/4 where it was 92 at Ennis and 88 at Crandall, but that was in the left lane and the right seems to trap ~2mph higher than the left...Weather should be good, look forward to meeting and seeing you run a new best!

Congrats on your new best!
looks like you got yourself some competition
I was just comparing your time slip to Frans customer,
I noticed he got you by a 1.5 tenths in 60ft. How did you catch him and pass him by 330ft in a crappier DA with from what I saw was a pretty identical set up? I guess the lighter weight in your car really helped.
Congrats

I would assume me being lighter, little quicker shifting, and I put down more power and torque would help me. I did 525.xx hp and 477.xx torque with my new clutch. I believe he put down 520/455

That was the dyno without the belts right? Still I cant see 5hp giving you 2+ tenths especially in that DA. In the video you never let off the gas either, But you hit the brakes too? Something isnt right.
Frans guy had a 1000ft DA advantage to boot!!! Well bottom line is you didnt break the record yet so no big deal. If you were to post up another slip all wacked out like this one was with another crazy MPH Id have to call next time.
But Im just one man talking Good Luck
