can i use stock valve seals and seats with aftermaket cam?

i have installed a camshaft with dual spring kit (Dual Valve Springs, Titanium Retainers, Valve Spring Locators, Locks, & Valve Seals), now i am going for swapping the cylinder heads for ported ones. the mechanic told me that i need to replace the valve seals with new ones, can the stock valve seals be used with the dual springs?

If you are replacing the heads with different heads, definitely replace the seals, I don't recommend reusing the old seals, as damage may result from removing and reinstalling them. The cost for new seals does not even come close to making it worth while to save the old seals.

The cam shaft is already installed with dual spring kit (including the valve seals) from Livernois Motorsports. i will replace the valve seals, but the qustion is, can i use the factory valve seals taht i can easily get from the local GM dealer? or i need to get the same valve seals that came with the Dual spring kit?

No, the stock GM seals are integral with the seats and will not fit between the dual springs. You have to stick with the aftermarket separate seats and seals with dual springs.

That is correct, you will need the correct seals, find out what they installed or you can use GM LS7 seals, with saying that you will need order 8 exhaust and 8 intake seals, as in the LS7 they are different. But they will work on the LS2 or LS3 with aftermarket dual springs and spring seats.
