suspension ?'s
I just replaced my stock rear shocks with Bilstein HD. The bounce in the rear is now gone. I also found some really bad road to test on and to me it seems like it still rides pretty good. I have not done the fronts yet cause it was too muggy to do all 4 this weekend.
I guess my first question would be before anything is done. What are you looking to upgrade and how do you use the car?
There are a number of things you can do to the suspension on the car from upgraded shocks, sway bars, leaf springs, all the way up to complete bolt on suspension packages with coil overs.
Some are going to be tailor made to what you are doing, some are going to be road race based, and some are going to be drag...while others might be more suited for a grand touring car.
So I should say, what are you looking to improve?
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Anthony's right...what do you do with the car? Is it primarily for street use, do you autocross, drag race or road run courses...a combination thereof? How you setup the car can vary widely depending on what you do or want to do with the car. Once known you can get more qualified suggestions. Ultimately, it's wise to consult with experts such as LGM. Good luck!
Now my mods include z51 anti-sways and 4 bilstein HD shocks. I have to say, this is the ride that I expected the Vette would have. It feels firm and planted and very little bouncy bouncy going on now.
I was lucky and got my sways for 108 during that special time last year from Gene Culley. The bilsteins ran me 346 out the door from a local place (eshocks.com). I would say that for the money, I am now very happy with the results. I have only driven the thing for 10 minutes after having finished but from what I could tell thus far this is a perfect combo for a street vette. I was skeptical about it being harsh on bad roads but I have found that this is not the case at all.
Recommended for any base suspension Vette if you are not happy with the stock ride/handling.

Aggressor I Package
[1150010] $3,055.00
If your HPDE experience has you wanting more out of your Corvette, the Aggressor I Package is the perfect first step.
The Pfadt Aggressor I Package Includes:
* Pfadt C6 Adjustable Coil Overs
* Pfadt C6 Light Rate Racing Sway Bars
* Pfadt C6 Camber Kit
Our Pfadt Adjustable Coil Over and Racing Sway Bar systems increase the overall spring rate of your Corvette without compromising ride quality when you're not at the track. When upgrading any suspension set up, the most important result is that the shocks and sways work well together out of the box AND provide the driver with basic tuning tools to dial in the perfect set up for the car.
Our Coil Over and Sway Bar combination work amazingly well to keep maximum tire contact with the track. The coil overs increase the overall spring rate of the car without making the damping harsh. We supply recommended starting points that offer a well balanced, well engineered setup that we actually run on our own cars. It’s the best of both worlds on and off the track! Our Racing Sway Bars provide superior anti-roll stiffness and are a crucial tuning tool. We recommend starting with our settings and following our basic guidelines if you decide to make changes.
The Aggressor I Package is ideal for the track day enthusiast who also uses the car on the street. If the adjustability intimidates you it’s only because it’s something new for you – not because it’s actually hard to do. Moreover, if you don’t want to adjust them, you don’t have to. This package is designed to bolt on and trim seconds from your lap times!
The final step in your upgrade is the Pfadt Camber Kit. You'll spend a lot of money getting a performance alignment done on your car - don't let that setting change just because you hit a pot hole, drop two wheels off the track or bang into some FIA curbing! It's a known issue that the factory eccentrics are prone to slipping. Our camber kit allows you to achieve the maximum negative camber and eliminates the eccentrics so that the the settings don't slip. You'll be able to get more negative camber with our kit than is possible with the stock set up.
