How difficult is a DIY installation of a set of headers with one set of hands and using race ramps instead of a lift? Tips anyone? Installation on standard C6 LS2 manual.

I'm interested in the responses too, since I'll be doing this same thing later this week.
Very easy install. Hardest part is routing the wiring for the rear O2 sensors. Of course if you tune out the codes, then you don't even need rear O2's. I did not do it on ramps, I got the car as high as I could using jack stands. I really don't think ramps would have had the car high enough to get the headers in.

I installed my LG headers using race ramps and jack stands. It's not as easy as using a lift I'm sure but it can be done fairly easy. Loosen all the clamps on the factory exhaust system first so you can move everything back and forth as needed during the install. When your done get another dyno tune and enjoy the newfound torque and horsepower.
The problem with ramps is the height. I used a lift a friend had, and I'd really try to find someone with one. You may also want to install a tunnel plate while you are under there.

Race Ramps go up 10" but jack stands are an option. Do you need to put up the rear on jack stands also? What's the difficulty with O2 wiring?

Reason: addition
Did mine in the garage by myself. On jack stands. Well, really - the wife helped at one point for the headers - she held the header from above by a cotton twine/string until I could crawl back out from under to align the bolt holes. Everything else was on my own. Very simple process, and do the tunnel plate while you are there.
Don't tighten anything back down until you have all the pipes connected. For me, the only difficult part of any of it was getting the pipes aligned to slide back into each other. (I did full headers/xpipe/zo6 muffler at once, so more pieces to tweak into alignment )
Where do you get the tunnel plate and what are the advantages of having one? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I put headers on my ls1 ta, how hard is it compared to that?

An aftermarket tunnel plate is thicker, and sometimes insulated, which improves chassis rigidity, and keeps some of the heat out of the cockpit. Elite Engineering makes a popular one, and others can also usually be found on eBay as well.
I have the EE one waiting to go on during this effort this weekend.

If I need help like that, I think I can do it by placing a 2x4 across the front fenders, and then using cord to support the headers from the 2x4.
I'll be installing the EE tunnel plate, OBX headers and the Z51 oil-cooler lines all at the same time.

Go to eliteengineeringusa.com. You will find tunnel plate information and sales there.

Yes, you have to jack up the back also. I didn't take off the tunnel plate, so I ran the wiring using p-clamps to hold the wiring and then covered up the connectors with insulation tape. It just took a while.
