I'm fixing to install some rollerrockers in the Vette and want to go ahead and put some better pushrods in while I'm at it. The problem is I don't know which size to get.
The car is a 05 C6 with an LS2. Putting in some yella terra 1.8 roller rockers. How long of a pushrods do I need to get?

You beat me to it.
With YT, you have to first shim the rockers to get the correct wipe pattern. Then you use the Comp Cam push rod checker to determine the push rod length for the correct lifter pre-load. Don't buy push rods until you use the checker otherwise you will end up buying the wrong length and have to do it all over again. I know...that's what I did.
Here is a write up done earlier. There are others out there and the YT instructions are good.
I just did this upgrade with great success and used YT 1.8, I used the stock length pushrods 7.4 but used the chromemoly ones from comp cam, that is what comp cams recommeded to me and I have no issues at all there is more info in a thread that I started with results in the entire power band.Make sure you change springs, retainers and valve locks alittle extra insurance to a solid valve train. Good luck.
Do I really "need" to change springs? I'm not going with a new cam.
Thanks for the help guys. I'll read a little more on it.
1fstvet, do you have a link to the thread?
well.................it depends on if you are going upstairs alot. changing springs are'nt a big deal if you have the correct tools. i would recomend it for peace of mind. i like the patriot gold kit. the locks are waaay better than stock. they are about 255.00. cranky
Will stonger spings cause the cam to wear out faster? Yella Terra didn't say anything about needing to change to aftermarket springs. You think they would let someone know.
I've changed valve springs before with the head on the car. Used a compressor fitting to go in the spark plug hole, and a valve spring remover tool. I just don't want to do it again if I don't have to, plus dumping 500 more bucks into the car that I don't want to have to.

What tools are you talking about?
You need to do more research on this before doing anything or have someone that knows the LS2 give you a hand. Yes, you need new springs if you are going to 1.8 ratio. Look up the term "coil bind".

You dont want to run into any coil bind problems also it will be cheaper to change the springs while you are doing everything else rather then haveing a stock spring break on you and drop a valve then look at what it will cost you, spend the extra money now and play it safe.

...... just do it right and not try to shortcut the process.
"Can" you run the stock spring with those YT's? My guess would be yes but for how long and under what chances? It's not worth it really! Get some good aftermarket springs and do it right or dont do it at all until you can do it right.
Just remember..... you get what you pay for!
Amazes me how much more I understand that as I've modded my car and home.
Well just got the rocker arms in and they sent me the 1.7 not the 1.8, so now I have to send them back to get the right ones... man..
Anyways, Yea I understand what you guys are saying. Are the Comp beehive valves springs any good? I've been looking at those for replacement valve springs. Anyone have a link to a good/afordable set of tools that will make changing the valve springs on the heads much easier?
The new Comp 918s are rated for .625" or Pac1518s would work. You are technically not exceeding the factory springs lift wise even with the longer ratio, but the heavier YT rockers will be harder to control at higher rpms. That is why I'd recommend a better spring, Chris

Thanks guys!! I'll check into them. The install seems pretty stright forward, and I've changed springs with heads installed, so I'm not walking into something I've never done before. I just didn't want to have to if it wasn't needed. But looks like I'll be going the extra mile.
