I am going into the 10 second range, I still have a nitrous system to install if I cant do it on motor alone.

That's a pretty big assumption to make only running 96mph in the 1/8th

Good luck though getting there. The drag radials will definitely help you into a much better, more consistant run.

With nitrous you shouldn't have any problem at all doing it though.

Thats what makes it fun to me, set a high mark and shoot for it. It does not matter anyway because once I break 11.5 they will make me get a roll bar to run any faster.

PS I am going to HMP tonight to get some payback, swing by and run your vett.

There are several of us running low 11s and high 10s with C5Z fronts and the same size Hoosier.

It allows running toward the end of 4th with a 3.42 gear and peaking in 3rd with the 2.56.

If you can't hook with this combo, the cure is not bigger/wider tires, it's the driver.

M/T etII 305/35/18 on 18x10.5 rims. I am going to try them out tonight at 20psi.
That is why I recommended that tire over the phone if not adjusting the tune as tire wear of can add up to a half an inch difference in diameter(8/32*2) Good luck tonite, I honestly don't think you'll need to go that low on psi with the heat...I'd try higher as it'll only means less rolling resistance

I ran 32 PSI the last time out in April. Dead hooked with 1.57 - 1.61 60' times.

My shift points are set for DRs on the track, as they're not important for the street where WOT is rare and there are no timers anyway.

Agree 100% about the tire pressure.

I used to cut 1.5 60's on my 255 MT ET Street Radials in the Fbody.

Less pressure is just more rolling resistance

Well as long as you run at HMP you'll only need to be concerned about when they kick you for 1/8th ET, which I'm not sure what that is.

I hope you run the hell out of it with your drag radials. It makes going to the track MUCH more enjoyable

I don't know what their rules are, but when I was running 6.9&7.0's @ 106-108 in the heat a little while back, they made sure I had a fire jacket and cage.

Probably more for the MPH than the ET, lol. 108 is hauling *** for a 7.0 1/8th mile.

108 is hauling.....in a vette that's a 138+ 1/4 mph.

What kind of car is running a 7.0 @ 108? A Supra with 1000 rwhp on street tires?

Automatics can run higher tire pressure than manuals...18 psi is my sweet spot. Higher than that and it's dicey for traction.

My 10.5@135 pass was a 6.9 at 107. My 10.6@135.8 pass was a 7.0 at 108. Stock corvette with an SI trim and meth. Stock exhaust, stock cam, full tank of gas, etc.

Thanks, Joe. It was pass 1&2 with the drag radials, and meth. So there was about 3-4 tenths improvement with seat time. I didn't see the car going 9's without headers and a cam, but it had the mph to. It's been a little tricky launching the car on 275/40 drag radials with only around 10 passes, mostly 1/8 mile. I think I need hoosiers or maybe more tire to be more consistant since I should be running 150hp more with the 402
