After a tune that would be very low in an M6 car.

The appointment is for December 12th. Got some new tires all around today and had a full inspection at the GM dealership...Everything was perfect and the car really hooks up well now. Alot more fun! Also put on one of those Corvette pool ball shift *****, really nice product that I ordered from Southern Car Parts.

This all started a couple weeks ago when I asked people to help me estimate the RWHP of my 05 M6 after the following mods.

- Magnaflow Exhaust system...no X-pipe or header
- 160 degree thermostat
- Vararam VR-SC1
- Vararam throttlebody spacer
- Dallas Performance dyno tune

The run with mods installed was 336.78hp/344.65tq. The best run with the dyno tune was... Drum role... 357.91hp/361.42tq

I am very happy with these numbers. The car shifts, sounds, and pulls better than it used to. I was surprised to feel how smooth it shifts now since it is a M6. I assume it was the removal of skip shift. The Vararam looks and sounds awesome too.

Taylor and his team at Dallas Performance are really top-notch! What a great place and great results!

I was close... I predicted 360 way back in post #7.

Nice numbers, glad you are enjoying the new found power.

It's a dyno, and that is all. Racing doesn't happen on dyno's. Even SAE, each type of dyno, and even the exact same dyno will read different. Way too many people get caught up in numbers.

You're still caught up in numbers by your post. Numbers don't mean anything. I have seen a 75hp on 4selll(Dan's supercharged Z06) from one dyno to another here in town. I've seen countless cars dyno 50-100hp apart on different dynos over the years.

Take it to the track, get a spreadsheat and record your the DA, 60ft, 330ft, 1/8 ET track times, and how the car back halfs on the track from all your passes, with the addition of mods. You can learn a lot from dialing in a car and seeing how it transistions from the distances and MPH's.

Doesn't matter who you beat. At 272rwhp, 13 years ago, I beat a 430rwhp heads/cam C5 with a 1.75 60 foot and a 13.1 ET @105mph in my 4.6 98 mustang GT. I've spanked a lot of high HP cars with a lot less hp over the years. Same goes for street pulls, because different cars have different gearing, drivers, and traction. My car makes close to 900hp at the crank, and much more with spray, and I can tell you that to understand your acceleration is best on a track with recording your results.

I think it is all relative based on the dyno your on. I know there was a significant improvement because of the change, not how high or low the numbers are. I would bet bone stock it would have dynoed 325ish but we didn't pull before the mods. I have heard there is usually a 17% loss flywheel to wheels. I just know it drives better.
