Question regarding starting car
Did you get any resolution with your problem? Our '05 auto vette has a similar (if not the same) issue.
Normal operation would be open door, get in, foot on brake pedal, push start, car starts.
Intermittently the car won't start right:
Open door, get in, foot on brake pedal, push start, 1/8 of a crank, engine light on, no start. Wait 15-20 seconds w/o doing anything the dash comes alive, seat/steering wheel move into memory position. After that, foot on brake pedal, push start, car starts.
This started happening 2 weeks after we got it (used last summer) and the dealer swapped the powertrain/ignition relay and it hasn't happened in 5 months. Just last week it started again. I replaced the relay and it worked for about 3-4 days, now it's intermittent again.
I could try to video it, but who knows when it may happen again.
Anyone?
Have you contacted the dealer to let them know that you are experiencing the concern again? Please keep me posted and contact me if you need further assistance. Thank you.

I'm waiting for a good time to drop it off so they can tinker.
I was reading that reflashing the BCM might help, but those posts were for 6-speed cars. Computers are frustrating.
Well, it finally gave up the goods. I posted this video on YouTube of what's going on. It's a little different than before because now it won't even start. Usually, I press start once, it clicks, wait 10 seconds, electronics power up, press again and it starts. I guess the battery is so low now that it won't start at all.

Any clue to what's the problem? New/reflash BCM? Another relay? Something's draining the battery. Notice the battery is 11.2 volts now...
Charging and waiting for any ideas.

Then,,,, One day he calls me with your EXACT SAME issue. The brightly lit check engine over a completely DARK IPC is scary.

We messed around with it for an hour or so and I found out that if I disconnect the battery NEGATIVE terminal for a few minutes and reconnect it, it would start. I also cycled the ignition switch thru OFF, START, ACC repeatedly and it would sometimes start.
I told him that I thought something was wrong with the BCM and that it most likely needs to be replaced. He drove it straight to the dealer and YEP,,,,,,, Thats what they said too. IN FACT,,,,, it seems like its whats wrong on a WHOLE LOT of C6's. The BCMs were back ordered!!!

Check the availability of that BCM before you drop it off. So,, that may be what you need to do to resolve your issue...
Good luck my friend.
