After comparing, pricing, searching and scouring for the best deal considering install and tune (exhausting really) - the amount of $$$ is STAGGERING - !!!
Why in God’s name, would I / Should I do this.. . ? - Tell me why it’s a good Mod worth the money, tell me…?
There are many different manufactures that you can choose from... I bought a set of Melrose headers and high flow cats second hand for $650.00 here in Vegas and had Chuck at Corvettes of West Chester do my tune.. Can't say enough good things about Chuck!!!
Take your time and search for a good deal and the cost to RWHP is well worth it!

Most people will find it takes about 4-5 hrs using hand tools with jack stands. I have seen our techs do an install in just over an hour before, but they have been doing it for a while now .
Bang for the buck, nothing outside of nitrous will provide both the horse power and torque that a good set of long tube headers will do.
We offer a number of different kits for the cars depending on the build and what modifications you want to do. Our C6 Street Series offer a heck of a good gain in power for not that much money.
A good set of long tube headers is worth 35-50 rwhp with a proper tune. No single mod short of a power adder will come close to that performance. Hand built stainless steel headers costs are generally high because they have a lot of man hours in research and fabrication. Stainless steel isn't cheap either. You can opt for cheaper non stainless versions or foreign made headers and no one besides your Corvette will fault you for that. We carry Stainless Works and ARH because they are very high quality and won't rust out or crack on you.
My exhaust was $1900..headers, catted x and custom tune. I put them in myself. Worth every penny with the sound alone...(I do have borla stingers to which I paid for with selling the NPP). Made 420rwhp and 420tq.
Buy OBX and spend $650. Use the rest that you save for a FAST intake manifold.

35-50 rwhp???
That's got to be the highest claim I've ever heard. Typical gains are more like 25-30rwhp.
I'd never buy them new!!! I found some used ones on here for a pretty good deal and it came with an install and tune. It just takes time to find some good used ones.
Install yourself. If a 59 year old with a bad back can do it, on jack stands, in my garage you can do it. The sound of my LT headers, 3" exhaust, hi flow cats, through my stock NPPs is SERIOUSLY worth the money alone, the HP is a BONUS

Its all subjective. If all you do is daily drive it, don't race etc. and are not obsessed about getting it fractions of a second quicker in the quarter mile then its not worth it. But if you're like all the rest of us car addicted head cases then its a must b/c its only the starting point as a supporting mod for all the other crap your going to eventually do to the car.

When these cars start to get old and people that really can't afford them, buy them, you get people that want to play but either can't or don't want to pay to play.

Well that's not my case. I'm trying to figure out if the gains are worth the losses (to my wallett) ... BTW, my car is a 2010 so it doesn't qualify for your theory, although I do somewhat agree with what you're saying. also it's about being smart and not allowing a manipulative shop rob you...!!!

I finally installed them last week. It was a piece of cake. I do have a KwikLift and full set of air tools though, which made things even easier. I also fell in love with my creeper that has an adjustable headrest. I was getting tired at one point so I literally took a cat nap, on my creeper, under my car! LOL
If anybody in my area needs help installing headers, they are welcome to stop on by and use my lift and assistance.

Theses are some of the most popular ones.
lets see the dyno sheet for just the headers, not headers and tune and you would quicly see the headers did little or nothing compared to the $ spent
