If I don't like it I may go larger car (5.0/GT500) or redo the H/C (G6X3/TFS) ....or buy a scooter and forget keeping up with the Jones'.
I'd come help ya...sure...but recall I'm the one telling you, don't set your expectations so high!

Your car is going to feel fast. Really fast. Traction will be a problem over 4500.

If you want in on the 500 rwhp club a g6x3 meat stick and a set of TF 225's are the way to get there.

482/435 with 2hr drive to get there. Car runs amazing. Ohwell, stop trying to chase a number on a strict budget.

Time will tell, I hope I'm wrong!

You didn't mention compression so I'll assume stock 10.9. I'll also assume you are running on a Dynojet 248 SAE Smoothing 5, and that you have stock gears. Based on my setup and similar setups I've seen I'll say:

480/430

Which is nothing to be ashamed of. Your 112 cam will help low end TQ at the expense of some top end.

It's enough to be a 10 second car on a cold day.

To get over 500 on an LS2 you need every last mod, including Trickflow heads (or shaved heads, 12.5 compression and METH), light flywheel, electric water pump, A/R or LG expensive headers. A few dyno tricks such as super light wheels, etc. don't hurt.

He said he could have gotten 5-6 more but since this is my DD, I chose safety over leaning it out. Wonder what a G6X3 would do, don't want to do the heads again really. Getting sick of mods...for a while anyway.

Good numbers!!!

We were virtually identical then. I made 485/440 with almost the same setup.

I wouldn't put in a g6 with stock ported heads. It's a huge cam that needs huge heads to go with it. The killer combo is Trick Flow 225's and the G6. It's really a big cam for max effort builds, not for a DD I'd say. If you want 8-10 rwhp for your dyno satisfaction, get an electric water pump.

Realize you won't feel that difference; it might show up on a time slip but you don't race that much I don't think.

I look forward to your replies, always accurate. I'm leaning towards TF 225's and the G6X3 with a possible vacuum pump. That would (should) get me where I want, at more cost obviously. Ading the G6 now would not be optimal but a natural process (add TFS when affordable) and it would also be nice to have as a dyno result with (now EPS/AI) a G6 and AI's. We'll see.

I appreciate your advice

Thanks for the kind words!

Frankly, if your goal is 500 rwhp, I would try to get there with your cam. Your cam is pretty big. I'd go EWP, then merh, then TF225's, in that order.

Call LG - get their advice, they have always been good with tech advice for me.

If indeed that is really your goal. Keep in mind that you aren't going to feel a difference between 485 and 500...and the difference will only be 5500-6800 rpm so you are seldom going to experience it. So it's a lot of money for IMHO very little gain.

I have the same exact cam as you man. I put down 506rwhp you just need TFS225cc heads like me. That was in terrible weather too in cool weather with a ported fast I guarantee I will put down 520+rwhp.

Trick Flow heads are the ticket! You deff have more in that combo with a ported Fast!

Even a nice set of As Cast 220's from Brian Tooley would put Jason over 500 as I believe he has the supporting pieces already in place...

I think so too. Ported FAST along with a vacuum pump I want around 530rwhp.
