Default New rear drag setup.

Been running on street tires, the fiancée wasnt too excited about tearing up the brand new tires I bought so when a friend offered his old drag radials she told me to pull the trigger (we are saving for our wedding this fall so money is tight)

I wasn't too excited about them being 28" tires (275/50/17 M&H racemasters) as it takes my effective gearing from 2.73 to 2.61 or so but I figure the base rear is 2.56 so I should still be pretty well off. I will change to a 275/40/17 next year.

Ordered 17x9.5 C6Z style wheels from OEWheelsLLC

To those that say reproduction/replicas are soooo heavy...

22.2lbs

Wow, I'm kinda shocked the 28's fit in there so well.

I am too. Only really hear about 275/40/17's. put about 20 miles on them after throwin them on, don't rub on hard turns or bumps and hook pretty well on the street. Can't wait to get them to the track.

Not bad! I use to run the M&H drag radials on my last Cobra and they hooked really good!

Good luck on your next track outing!

Yeah these exact tires twisted the axle tubes on a buddies supercharged 2011 5.0 so I'm thinking they should hold my stock power just fine for now at the flashlight drags or prp. Thanks!

Ran on these on 6/2... it was at the flashlight drags which are an untimed heads up race on an airport runway... No spin! But it felt like I was coming out like a dog. Can't wait to get some 26's.

Here is a video of me vs a friends heads/cam LS2 GTO on street tires.

Not sure, didn't weigh with tires. I will soon, I will be pulling the wheels and tires off of my tire rack soon to get them swapped out for these.

Screw those 28's

Hope to find out. I went 11.96@119.90 on a 1.90 60' on my 28"'s and 11.88@120.10 on a 1.86 60' on a friends borrowed 3xx wide 26" drag radials (calculated actual height to be 26.4) on the same day. Still too much tire, just width instead of height this time. Hope to figure this car out and see an 11.7x on these new proper size tires.

I tried 3 different tires in one track rental my best was 10.92, with bfg 295x18 i did some things and went back ran with the mt 305x18 went 10.91 so i put the bfg back on and went low 10.8s then put a mt 275 and went 10.69 same day the gearing change from height and weight made all the difference
