I'd give it a 10 also. I remember clearly when I first got my 07 and revved it a few times. I noticed the lag immediately. I went for a drive and you could tell, once the power kicked in, it pulled good once you got past the lag time.

I keep this set on 6 and it's plenty fun. Not just what it does but being able to adjust up or down on the fly is quite a bonus. Kind of like how some cars you just have to see in person to appreciate, this device is one you just have to feel. Very noticeable. I read dozens of 5th gen Camaro posts before I bought and now, I'm a believer.

For my current needs, I give:

Gadget:
+10 for installation ease
+10 for variability/adjustability
+10 for function, doing what it is intended to do
+10 for ergonomics
+10 for cost benefit

Paper instruction sheet:
5 for paper instructions, being off on the inaccuracy of step two.

Damn... Did he say why it wouldn't work?

Got the package last night!

This morning, before heading to work, I took the 4 minutes it takes to install it (disclaimer: for some of the ones who are no longer "as flexible" as they once were, this might take longer, or just recruit someone who can pretzel himself down there... it's pretty awkward position to be upside down and laying there while reaching behind the gas pedal).

Anyways - GREAT PRODUCT. Plugged in it, pressed the buttons a few times as indicated by the sheet that comes with it and BOOM. What a difference! It's cool to start at E7 (most economical) and click it all the way to SP9 (highest performance response), and softly bleep the throttle in each level (16 stages of adjustability) to see the difference in response. Very cool.

Also, during driving, the screen shows how much of the pedal you are pressing. If you are half way it will show A50, if you mash it almost all the way down it will be A90, etc.

I can also see this working well for boosted applications to hook tires by using the eco levels, as mentioned previously, it does a really good job of delaying the power to come in smoothly. I don't vallet my car, but if I didn't let's just say they would be very disappointed driving around at E7

I'm very happy with it. As most of my aftermarket installs, I didn't secure the wires and odds and ends during the first drive I wanted to make sure I was happy with it before I made it permanent. Well, needless to say, this is getting zip-tied, double taped and secured tonight.

If you are in doubt btw this product and COW booster, please don't think twice. Until the cow booster manufacturer comes out with a similar product with on-the-go adjustability and competing price, this is the hands-down the right choice.

Quick pic for reference. Again, the install has been finalized yet, so the wire is just hanging out, but it will be drilled and tucked in tonight.

05's run a different computer, and I believe, a different pedal. I'll try to look into it more in the next day or two.

It'd be interesting (for me) if you knew someone who had a Vitesse, to install in your car (or leave it in theirs), and compare it against the Sprint Booster.

Kinda similar, but not user changeable on the fly with multiple options of advance and especially no option to retard.
But as long as you're happy with what you have, that's fine.

I assume you'll scan your passes, so could you please post up the launch part along with the setting you used and the track prep condition?
Thanks.

My car has a plastic cover which makes access to the wiring harness near the throttle pedal difficult. Are you guys removing this panel for installation, or just reaching behind it? I can't even see the throttle pedal wiring harness because of this plastic panel.

I thought that was an issue too. However, that plastic is placed in a way that you if you push it up, it will barely brush the end of the pedal bracket, and it will expose the sensor that you need to unplug.

So have no fear, and just push the front right corner of that plastic cover (the corner closest to the gas pedal), and you will find the sensor
