That statement is just absurd. You never even offered them a chance to make it right to begin with. You just assumed and made your life more difficult than it had to be. I don't think you can justify talking them down with the way you handled it on your end.

Without understanding all the circumstances surrounding this particular problem, timing is the usual culprit in these cases. The expectation is that there won't be problems with a product, but when there is, correcting it in the most expedient manner doesn't necessarily entail dealing with the manufacturer or original supplier.

I had a wheel bearing fail recently while on a road trip 1500 miles from home. It was 18 months into a 3 year warranty from O'Reilly's. I needed to have it fixed quickly to maintain my schedule. There was no O'Reilly's store within 50 miles that had one in stock, so I got one from an all-night Autozone about 10:30 PM and had it changed early the next morning. Upon presentation of the bill, the Autozone receipt, and the dead bearing, O'Reilly's refunded me the cost of the bearing. It was just the right thing to do.

You really should have contacted them. I think you would be surprised what some of these top tier companies will do to keep their reputation at or very close to 100%.
One of ARH dealers installed them in another city 150 miles from where I live. The owner of the performance shop has been telling me that ARH is making me a new set and that was two months ago. I did call ARH when I notice the leaks and they told me that I had to deal with the shop that ordered them and installed them, even the shop owner said that ARH should send a new set to them after I sent them pictures of the leaks. I'm just going to take it at a $2000 lost and have a shop here where I live pull them and weld them all around the outside. Their LIFETIME warranty sucks....Now I need a beer.

Kooks is what I wanted on my 08,but the shop I went to is a dealer for ARH.I just got a 2013 GS and I'm going with Kooks because if I get a bad set they will replace them.I rather deal with the IRS then ARH.....

You know that's bull, since they are available from many places on an overnight delivery basis if necessary. Whenever I had a customer with any problem with one of my products, it instantly became my number one priority.

BTW, if you have someone do the welding, be sure that they clamp the flange securely to the table or bolt it to a head before welding and leave it until it completely cools. You don't want to deal with heat distortion sealing problems on the flange either.

You hit it on the head! When the shop sent me a email a couple of months ago and said Steve (With ARH) was making me a new set..Lol...I had a friend call ARH and that had plenty in stock. Steve is just like a used car salesman's, he will lie to you face with god standing next to him. I.
m with you, customers always come first.

Hey, no problem. I make errors too. I suffer () through far more spelling and grammar issues on this forum than you could possibly create. Usually I just grimace and write it off to poor education.
